Is it harder to do slides with a new board bec I've been trying and can't seem to get it, also can I do ganster arms in same direction that I am kicking it seems easier then opposite way?
@@animalfinatic9366 im 25 and I just landed my first ollie rolling on concrete. I also just dropped in on a 2ft vert in the same month. there 100% is hope!

What an inspiring and educational video! Now I’ve started to get the feel for the ollie and already practiced a bit today like at 8:18. Ps: This guy is really the Doctor 9:50 and Dinghy, with its beautiful design, is really the atypical-irregular-alternative skateboard, the opposite of the regular skateboards, which is so common. Thanks LY!
@@alejandropreciado1814 do u think it's possible to get on with the tricks normally if u just kinda use a popsicle deck with those cruising wheels. i kinda wanted a "hybrid" board, where i live got no skateparks, just asphalt so road's kinda rough
oh my god, 7:30 nobody has ever explained that the reason you do this with your foot is because you're *tucking your leg in to make room*. that makes SO much more sense now, lmao. i never understood the purpose of the foot slide 😂
I must say Alex has got it down with showing off boards and being hilarious but Reese is a godly teacher. He’s got the vocab fucking down for simple but still detailed enough
@@frankblais2627 i am also 6 ft With 10 as a size of shoe was abt to get a 36 dropthrough when my local shop told me its too small for you you wont get much of a longboard experience and tbh i now need a portable board more than ever you would recommend the dinghy shape 9 for a big guy
I have a drop deck longboard, a popsicle board and a dinghy and I would 100% pick the dinghy if I could only have 1. I took it out the first night and learned to healside/toeside powerslide to manage speed. Took me like a week to learn how to on my longboard. Out of all 3 boards the dinghy is also the easiest to slide/recover. Best skateboard I've ever had, hands down, it's incredibly fun.
He say like bob ross "It's very eeeeasy~~~" It's not easy for me.... Anyway, thank you for sharing Dinghy tips Maybe for sure this tutorial contents is very useful for Dinghy beginer ^^ Including me!!!
I bought a pre built dingy blunt. I hated the board but I switched the trucks to some Indys and out on some 53mm 90a wheels. I’m riding this board constantly now. Shuv it’s are so easy and I’ve got more board to land on. I was using an 8in board. Board is very poppy to.
2:30 I've actually been trying this in my kitchen, on my Skeleton Dugout before I saw this. Nice to see the real deal though. Only dented my fridge once or twice... ok, 3 times. still... it makes sense.
I was trying to slide on my Dinghy and I kept doing it at a stand still to see the feel and it it wouldn't budge. I tried slightly up hill with a bit of speed and it actually moved that it shocked me so I jumped off! 😂
Great explanations of the tricks and slides. I am getting back into skateboarding but I am going to get a Landyachtz cruiser. The tough part for me is trying to pick out a Landyachtz cruiser with the right wheels and trucks for me. I am definitely leaning towards a Dinghy Blunt or Tugboat. Now that I know there are many somewhat doable tricks out there for me I am probably leaning more towards the Dinghy Blunt over the Tugboat.

What's the height of the rider? Or foot size. Wondering if dinghy would not be to narrow for me.
Idk who this guy is but he's my new favorite presenter.
Dude he reminds me of lance mountain a bit
Don’t do Alex like that bro

I think this may be the best how-to video out there for Ollies, Kick-flips, Slides, etc....no matter what kind of board you ride.
this is a treat to watch. They sell cruisers on campus so I'm considering those since they're a lot better than regular skateboards for moving around
This guy is a god tier teacher give him more work in videos
This has made Ollie's a LOT more accessible - thank you!
