In a very Jackson-esque/C&C Music Factory style we got a mini concert slapped into the middle of a Disney film.
It was absolutely an amazing end to the films climax.

This was the best song/performance in an animated movie! My favorite scene. I wanted to be Max and dance with Powerline on stage when I was a kid. 34 now and still love this scene 💝💝

Had to show my son the actual guy behind the voice of powerline is an Israelite name Tevin Campbell. He was pleasantly surprised to see he is one of his own people. A goofy movie is one of the most epic movies in Disney because of this soundtrack. Tevin went on to perform this song in differnt settings for different audiences and people portrayed themselves as powerline at comic con

Saw this when I was 24.. 10 times total in the theater.... I have the CD a poster.. Some coloring books, a story book and vinyl soundtrack and even a Max doll... My DVDs are signed by Pauly Shore too....

Quick trivia, power line voice is Tevin Campbell. He was 17 when he recorded it. Was supposed to be Bobby brown but he was negated for drug allegations. Powerlines look was inspired by Bobby brown though (hair, dancing). So dope! 90s greatness!!!

I was 16 when he recorded this, and Tevin got 2 years on me.

@@AnimatronicClover That's beside the point. Alcohol consumption doesn't happen at all in animated movies anymore, even if the characters are adults, because of censorship. It's the same with smoking.

I think a huge part of Disney's success is being able to snag S-class musicians to the te music in there movies. Watch any Disney movie and the music is always top notch. Pair that up with their always-innovative animation and boom.
Teving Campbell killed it with lead vocals here (If you don't know who that is he sings Can we talk" look it up you can tell he's heavily influence by Micheal Jackson). And the Backup singers which are a trio of siblings "The Waters Siblings" weren't slacking on their parts either.
