I was watching this PPV with a friend my girlfriend and his girlfriend neither girl is into wrestling they were talking to each other through most of the show but during this match just a few minutes in they got pulled into it and we explained the story behind and even they said they enjoyed this match afterwards

It’s even better when you realize when Hangman was waiting for Kenny to come to the back with him, it was the first time they had ever left together after a match
This match was AMAZING! The storytelling was AMAZING with The Young Bucks playing heel in peril, the spots, the tension between all 4 of them throughout the match, the GOLDEN TRIGGER kick out and the tease afterwards! This match is GOLD! I’m so glad this has been reuploaded.
Guys like Cornette needs to watch your videos, AEW's long-term storytelling is incredibly underrated.
You must be joking man. Jim Cornette knows what wrestling is and knows what it should be. This is not wrestling. People like to go on about how wrestling has evolved and it has but it has evolved into something that is not wrestling anymore. It’s rotten. There is not a single promotion producing a good show. It’s supposed to be presented as real and even though we know it’s a work, i want my wrestling to look and feel as real as possible. Not a single promotion send to know how to do that anymore. Back to the 80’s for my wrestling fix. It’s alot better than this nonsense. Simple angles and simple psychology. Exactly how it should be.

It's just not for me, wrestling has evolved and standards have changed, and while you may consider it rotten, or "not wrestling" alot if people would probably disagree with you. Because this is wrestling, you don't have to like but you do have accept that this is wrestling.

I never heard of hangman before aew, I'm a huge fan of all forms of wrestling but just never knew of him, now however, he has so much promise, he is a bad ass, a believable baby face, and is unironically the most likable person in wrestling and is my favourite wrestler right now and at September 5, all out 3, he will be the new aew world champion, remember this comment

This is a phenomenal video, as always. It is THE best match AEW has put on, seconded only by Dustin vs Cody IMO. One thing I noticed, and I believe I'm right from everything I've researched... but Hangman was the one who got the pin to win the titles, got the pin in this match, and got the pin in all their title defenses. Then, of course, he's the one to get pinned by FTR. Essentially, Hangman carried Omega, which I think will be an underlying plot to the ultimate Hangman vs Kenny title match for the AEW title. I also never caught the fact that the elite all became EVPs except Hangman, that's a great call out!

This is maybe my favorite tag match ever
The amount of storytelling and foreshadowing that is in this match that still exists today as we're on the verge of Adam Page's crowning moment is unbelievable.
Man, the story of Hangman and The Elite goes way back since 2016 when Page joined BC, but he wrestled mostly with The Elite. The tension started in 2018 that still hasn't left Hangman at ease to this day, which he wants to show he can become the AEW World Champion.
Just rewatched this match. It was even better than the first time I saw it!!!!

Great video! I only discovered AEW in April but Kenny, the Bucks & Hangman are four of my favourites and I love this match. Learning more about the back story was really interesting 🙂
Because Hangman used the One Winged Angel on the Young Bucks, I wonder if Hangman will give Omega a one winged angel when he fights for the title! It would totally be a call back from Revolution 2020! What great storytelling!

I was there live and kept telling my father in law what a great match it was during the match and eventually saying near end of March that was the best wrestling match I’ve ever seen. What a show and great match!

This match is amazing. But for some reason i prefer Hangman and Omega vs FTR. Now that i think about it, while watching this video, i really get WHY people like this one more. There's a live audience to really make it pop off. And then the reason why I like The FTR match more? is maybe because this has a lot of elements of the Golden Lovers vs Young bucks match, so it didn't feel quite as original. While that match had told such a beautiful story as well.

It's pretty interesting that Hangman was kind of the odd man out when AEW was formed as far as being named an EVP and at this point he is kind of what Cody was supposed to be. Both the literal champ and The People's Champ.

No joke, I bought a ticket the day of this show on a whim. I get to my seat and I'm sitting next to Noelle Foley with Frank the Clown on her other side. Seeing that show and this match in particular, under those circumstances, made it one of the greatest nights of my life as a wrestling fan.
I shouldn't have said "on a whim."
It was a leap year and I watched an episode of Frasier about leap year and how you should seize that extra day in February. It inspired me.
Hangman is in my top 20 of favorite wrestlers, Kenny is in my top 10, and The young bucks are my second favorite tag team. Why wouldn’t this match be big for me and everyone, definitely deserved 6 stars

& now Hangman is the AEW world champion by way of beating Kenny Omega for the AEW championship.
I liked this match so much like everyone else and I like the storytelling of AEW but sometimes i think it’s too much longer like right now , after hangman lost the titles , it has been like 6 months that hangman is going around like a looser , I don’t mean that he doesn’t win the matches but I mean that he isn’t aiming for a title and lately he is fighting random guys ( like Ryan nemeth ) and fight with silver and Reynolds but in one of the latest episode he said he doesn’t want to join the dark order cause he had already a bad experience with the stables ( the elite ) . I mean it has been like 2 or 3 months that dark order is begging hangman to join the dark order so at this point he should or join or kick their ass ;
it’s the same thing that is happening with Tay conti , Evil uno asked her to join the dark order like 7 months ago , she never clearly accepted but she continues to come out with Anna jay every time and sometime with the entire dark order , so what’s the point ? , you’re in the stable or not ? I’ve been waiting for like 4 months for them making it official but still at this day , nothing )
So at the end my hopes are that at some point ,
we get the rematch between hangman ( face ) and Omega ( heel ) and this time hangman win and become the new Aew world heavyweight champion and if it done correctly ( i trust aew ) , they could deliver it as the match of the year ( for the third consecutive time for aew in only 3 years since it’s creation ; PWI 2019 MOTY : Cody Rhodes vs Dustin Rhodes , PWI 2020 MOTY : Adam Page and Kenny Omega vs The Young Bucks , PWI 2021 MOTY , Adam page vs Kenny omega ?
I know I criticised the Long ( very long sometimes ) storytelling of AEW but I have also hope in them so i will try to be more patient and see what will happen .
