It's really heartwarming that your mom is your videographer in these Denmark videos. Tell her she's amazing at it! Love your black and white photography, it's inspired me to get back into shooting it more than anything has recently so thank you!
First?! Haha i hope so! Ok so I just finished it AND I am so glad you stayed and kept the video rolling for when it snowed! That guy making his way with the umbrella.. that was such an amazing shot!! I love it so much!
I watch a lot of photographers here on youtube and I often find myself not liking their photography. You are definetly one of the best and your videos are so good and satisfying. Greetings from Norway:)
Ribe. Birthplace of one of the great social photographers, Jacob Riis. Plus Kristen Feilberg, who originated from Vester Vedsted nearby. Take a look at their work anyone who doesn't know it. Great photographers, Riis in America, who was a reporter who had photographers using the new invention called 'flash' to report on the slums of New York, and Feilberg in the far East 1800's before western influence. Love the channel Frederik. We're all in lockdown in the UK. Police watching out for people who stray too far from home - totally envious:-)
My wife and I stayed in Ribe for Christmas in 2018 after getting married in Copenhagen. This video brought us right back there. Thank you Frederik! Varde next??
I just love your videos. My style is close to yours, but I have so much to learn and your videos are super helpful to me. You're my favorite contemporary street photographer Frederik. Thank you!
Thank you for the video. Beautiful town. After watching your photos with the Rollei I pulled my old Yashica D TLR out of storage. I finished an old roll of Ilford HP 5 and purchased two more rolls. Hope you bought your Mom a nice dinner after all her video work.
I'll soon be retiring and want to visit Denmark again.. I grew up in the small town of Kollund DK with my grandparents. I'll plan to visit Ribe.... And yes, I miss the polser with remoulade sauce... Another great upload...
You have a natural and amazing perspective. The Rolleiflex TLR is still an amazing camera with a larger negative and high resolution. The images convey a mood, a mystery and curiosity about a place-- and panchro film captures all of this best. Really well done and inspiring for me.
Wow, I love Denmark but have only visited Copenhagen a dozen times and Aalborg once. Ribe looks amazing especially with your view. Someday I must visit !
10:04 Yes, you got it. That was my favorite. Tip of the cap to your mom for handling the video. Maybe you can take her with you when you go back to Mexico? 👍 I enjoyed the Denmark videos. Maybe a new series when spring/summer rolls around?
I love your street portraits. It actually inspired me to do some when I went on a photowalk in my city and it was nerve wracking and just ended up taking 2 portraits but hopefully I will come to a point when asking people to take pictures will not be filled with anxiety
Fantastisk. Imponeret over hvad du fik ud af den kornmark. Og billederne fra Ribe... Har været i Ribe et par gange med kamera . Smuk by. Kan virkelig godt lide dine videoer, hvor du også fortæller om dine overvejelser. Meget inspirerende
If there is a gate with a door that is open and there is no sign in front of the gate with the text "Open" then it is typically private. We sign a lot in Denmark to avoid people who run into places where they are not welcome.
I discovered Andre Wagner on Tumblr. His photos are great. Anyway the images you shot were gorgeous as usual. You have a great eye when it comes to the landscape stuff.
Thanks for that inspriation! I actualy doin some rolls of tri X in my home town in Saxony /Germany. Yep Corona is still here, but why not enjoy your town with a other point of view! :) like your Videos!
Frederik, I have been following you for quite some time now. I love your videos. They are both entertaining and very informative. But I have been holding my tongue for too long, so now I have to say it. You remind me so much of Ali Campbell, the lead singer for UB40. It's not that you are an exact replica or anything, I mean when I see you, I know it's you, but every time I do see you, Ali immediately pops into my mind. :)
Great video as always, nice insight into your home town. Good that you are spending time with your mother, as The Godfather says 'A man that does not spend time with his family is not a man'. Safe journey back to Mexico and thanks for your hard work and positive outlook, you've a real energy and talent for this.
Greetings & Salutations Sir, What would make for interesting images is YOU being photographed in the villages and locations you go with the Rolleiflex. Using the camera in a contemplative Artistic way, as If Cecil Beaton were on holiday in Denmark. Nice Series III Jaguar by the way. Thumbs up my friend !
Great video and photos! It's so weird to hear you ask for portraits in your native language. Could've tried your signature phrase "Yo fotografía a el gente de Denmark" and see what happens. Cheers!
Fantastic video, eagerly awaiting your video from Mexico. Hey Fred, you must do Brooklyn, NY while in North America, by the time you get here Trump will be gone.

Ribe. "You have a nice head on your shoulders" Viking Conquest reference, couldn't stop it
First?! Haha i hope so!

Love the video, very relaxing to watch. Reminds me of my photography student days 30 years ago. Love the car by the way.
I love your street portraits. It actually inspired me to do some when I went on a photowalk in my city and it was nerve wracking and just ended up taking 2 portraits but hopefully I will come to a point when asking people to take pictures will not be filled with anxiety

Really enjoyed your videos from Denmark. That Jaguar car looked SO cool...!
Did you shoot at box speed and ‘sunny 16’?
Kodak Tri-X is great for street and in-situ... the tri-x profile for digital Fuji ( Fuji weekly), is pretty nice as well.
