We've tried classes in the UK (Leeds, Telford, London) but there has been very little interest in getting classes together unless I find a venue and publish a date. I'd need to get a series of classes together in different cities to make a tour viable.
@@catalystreactionsbw i understand. No doubt you know Oulton Park race circuit in Cheshire. They host the BSB and other events etc. To pitch an idea to you it could be viable for yourself f you do decide to tour the uk,that you put it on your list. Quite sure you'd be very much welcome at that event for 1000s of bikers attend it plus other BSB circuits dotted around the country that host the Championship. Thanks for the reply tho Dave...👍
I do not suggest one brand over the other. What I do ask the owner is 1. What is your budget. 2. How long will you own the bike. 3. What roads and pace do you ride on. 4. What can you afford for service intervals with the suspension. Once we have those answers via conversation, I give the owner various product recommendations where they will get the best ROI.
@@catalystreactionsbw what if no budget, minimal service intervals: but an "urban" to "touring" ride (I'll never take it to the track, typically don't ride extremely fast). Austin roads are massively terrible - and my stock R9T Pure shock is breaking my back! :D
Hi Dave, what exhaust are you using on the last bike on the video? (the silver r nine t with carbon fenders). Looks like stainless steel and they look sooo much better than the stock chromed ones - that turn purple after the first 100 miles... Please let me know. Tks!
I meant the exhaust headers. Mine is a 2016 and came with chrome headers - instead of polished like in this bike. This is an upgrade, I am just trying to find out where I can get them...
Dave Williams, editor, replying here. I believe the R nineT comes in 5 different specs/editions; as opposed to the Yamaha R6 for example. Perhaps (I don't know for sure) that exhaust is stock on 1 or 2 specs.

Hi Dave any suggestions for the set up on a stock BMW R Nine T 2020. I'm 210 pounds bike is only used with a solo rider. Many thanks from the UK.
Leave the forks where they are and set rider sag at 30-35mm. Once that has been done test rebound settings at 1.25, 1 and .75 from maximum.

@@jackolbean4765 Just work off fork and shock travel used to see if you need adjustments because you are too soft or too stiff.

I have no idea what brand of exhaust the owner chose.
it is the standart Akrapovic one you get with the RnineT (not pure)
