@@cornelius8124 I understand what you're saying Redick didn't iso dribble as much but no one in that decade was even close at using cuts to open areas and 3 pointers as a primary scoring options. Then the analytics started coming about pushing the three pointer and the next decade players like Curry/Irving/McDermott popped up all over in the NCAA game. And Redick was the guy you loved, the guy you hated, the average height weight guy you could relate to, and always had a top performance on SportsCenter. He dominated the college basketball media at that time.
Man 2005-2005 when i was in 8th grade so much great szns in sports. Redick here omus Lamarcus Aldrich in this game too, Florida natty in Cbk, Vince Young & Reggie Bush and a great cfb szn and natty game best ever. D wade won his first finals that szn and kobe 81 points. And my Seahawks went to our 1st super bowl vs Steeler and got fvcked 😂. I always think back of this yr in sports really fondly cuz it was the first yr i uad a computer and could follow every leaue and stats weekly. Great times
He hit the rim more on his first free throw than any of the 40 other points. He’s the type of shooter that surprises you when he misses at every level.
JJ Redick was a dynamic scorer but he had to change his game a lot to excel at the NBA level. JJ's early struggles in the NBA were a big reason why Curry dropped as far as he did and why people were doubters imo. Redick had an amazing career and he could have still played this season but I guess when it's time it's time
JJ is a free agent next year I hope he gets a start for team cause this guy can play. I honestly think he can be an All Star if he was to get 30 plus minutes. There is more to his game than just shooting, he can pass just as well.
So funny watching him today in 2019 on the Pelicans. Dude STILL shoots fucking beautifully and is so underrated it's not funny. He was huge for Philly too. Looks so much younger when i watched him in Duke lmao. He kind of fell off when he was on Clippers but was revived
I believe this was 2005 and I was in college playing basketball too.. The game was probably Ghost Recon 2. I had that game and the same sneakers Duke were playing in..
Damn, only duke game I went to in my life was that lsu game in atl. Then watched the first half of wv and Texas then left and seen where Texas won by buzzer beater haha
a lot of you obviously never played college ball, it's a different game in the nba. the people guarding him were the best players on their college team or conference. it has nothing to do with confidence or minutes. he's just playing better competition and there are more scoring options (or better ones) than say... Greg Paulus?
I've watched this video many times over the years as a big JJ/Duke fan. Who's here after PJ Tucker has now appeared on JJ Redick's podcast?
Same 😂
Me
facts that’s so crazy
Me bro classic performance
Lol, am here

Yea me too lol
Same here! Wanted to reminisce in shooting greatness. Can't believe he's still doing it. A pros pro
ME CAN'T BELIVE HE'S 35 NOW... TIME FLIES MAN

Who's here after JJ Redick's announcement to retire from the NBA? It's a shame that younger fans never got to witness his dominance.
That's what TH-cam is for
@@fredleeland2464 it ain’t the same
He was so fun to watch while at Duke. Lol he got so much hate on road games and stayed giving it back to the opposing fans.

7:33 this was the weird tickling shit PJ did that JJ was talking about in the podcast 😂😂
He was to the NCAA what Steph Curry is to the NBA right now.
John Smith I think he was more then that

Nah Steph was doing the same shit in the NCAA he doing now. JJ was first but JJ was mostly always a catch and shoot guy. Curry did more
Purple & Gold jj has a higher 3pt shooting percentage than steph
Look it up
He was the "Human Dagger"... 1 of the best players in Duke History.
bacchus thompson
The best player in college history
@@fredhooper8649 Christian Laettner would like to have a word with you

i watched this game on TV live...it blew my mind..This dude is crazy, just take the ball, dribble to the 3 pt line and fire.
Remember watching this live. Jj was my fav player ever in college
Still the most beautiful form I have ever seen
these were the good ol' days....jj is the reason im a duke fan. dude was an absolute monster.
JJ Redick vs LaMarcus Aldridge in this game. Redick was on fire.
PJ Tucker and Booby Gibson too. Texas had the talent Duke had the know-how.
what a pure shooter. phenomenal
I remember watching this game back when I was a kid, one of the best duke moments. Total domination
So happy to see Reddick fitting in with the Clippers. Bringing back that Duke swag
hes averaging 17 a game this year with multiple 30 point games hes playing fantastically with the 6ers
@@BaronVonBielski he retired.

What an absolutely phenomenal scorer.
I could watch Redick and Ray Allen shoot all day.
Love the way he shoots!!!

He hit the rim more on his first free throw than any of the 40 other points. He’s the type of shooter that surprises you when he misses at every level.

Oh my goodness. I think he swooshes every single shot he took
JJ's PJ Tucker interview brought me here💪🏾
Who’s here from the podcast? Man had that moment down to a T
6:42 for my fellow listeners
Man was takin deep 3s too comfortably. The shot is PURE
Underrated as one of the all-time Duke greats, because casuals only pay attention to championships.

My favorite player ever.
Here after the JJ Reddick Podcast
I think he'll have his shot in Milwaukee, I hope so. I'm a huge fan.
This JJ guy looks pretty good, I could see him do really well in the NBA and not be a mediocre role player.
There was a better chance of me flying than me ever thinking one day u would love this dude lol. As a UNC fan that sounds nuts. Never judge a book lol
So funny watching him today in 2019 on the Pelicans. Dude STILL shoots fucking beautifully and is so underrated it's not funny. He was huge for Philly too. Looks so much younger when i watched him in Duke lmao. He kind of fell off when he was on Clippers but was revived

One of his best but He was insane verse Georgetown also.
6:43 look how smooth and quick he gets his feet set!
wow he did change his shooting pocket to the side during this game
Wow that's lamarcus aldridge back then, crazy
I noticed that only one shot and a free throw hit the rim every other was just straight net.
JJ REDICK.....DYNAMITE!!!!
JJ Reddick was the Kobe Bryant of duke. Just absurd the shots he made
I am here because of JJ Redick’s podcast w PJ Tucker
I guess 6:40 is the moment they pissed him off.
Poor guy.
J.J is still ballin
Him and Morrison were gods in college
Plus he's the all time scorer leader for duke ever
Man that's PJ Tucker guarding Redick if anyone was wondering..
and got pumped by 41 pts :)
"3 point specialist pj tucker"
Do you still have any of his best games? like the full game film? I would to get a hold of it if that were possible...
do u have the game when he 40 against virginia
What was the final score in the game
JJ was a menace in college
I wonder what ubisoft game that was.

Well no. But he up there
Good comment, confidence and your teammates/coach mean so much. Orlando has not been the best fit for JJ.
that three pointer at 4:45 was just crazy!
This guy was insane
Who were the top players for Texas at this time?
Lamarcus aldridge
I wonder how many times JJ has watched this
Here after the pj tucker interview. Had to see those black uniforms lol
Who’s here after watching jjs podcast with pj
JJ out there looking like Klay vs OKC 😄
I just wish that Orlando would give him a bit more of playing time. it's the 2nd time this series (vs cavs) that he wasn't able to play. :(
Guy had half the teams points, he was trailing the whole Texas team by 10 halfway thru the 2nd half.😂😂😂 savage
Who is here from JJ Reddicks podcast
Why is this randomly in my recommendation
It's crazy neither one of these teams made the final four that year. I think they both lost to LSU in the tournament.
Damn, only duke game I went to in my life was that lsu game in atl. Then watched the first half of wv and Texas then left and seen where Texas won by buzzer beater haha
I still cannot believe Candace Parker let Sheldon Williams hit. WTF kind of world is this! I'm supposed to be that baby's Daddy!
Tv did not look this blurry 11 years ago
Laces every time holy hell
6:46 JJ said he was pissed when they put the white guy to guard him 😂
Why does this look so old? I'm only turning 40 tomorrow 🥺
i remember this game. this was the day reggie bush won the heisman trophy.
