Really like all of the positive vibes and relaxed approach to all of your training and races. It’s really motivating and shows why your running club is going from strength to strength. 👍
It’s very helpful to me Chris to hear you share your anxieties and lack of belief re: your running, especially after returning from injury. I find it easy to think everyone else has got it together and I’m the only one struggling with these kind of thoughts. Thank you, and have a brilliant time in Berlin. Hope to say hi at Yorkshire Marathon where I’m going for sub 3:30 (which I’ve never done before!).
I reckon, if Ben concentrates on his form (as @Chris and everyone else on the pods constantly say), as he's been smashing his times recently, he could do sub 3 hours as Berlin is a faster one and he wants to hit 2:55. I will predict 2:53! Go for it Ben! 👍👍💪
Today in Berlin it's 25 deg c and next Sunday it's forecast 16 deg c. I had originally predicted 3:06 for Ben, but if everything aligns I think a sub 3 is possible. Finger crossed 🤞🏻 and good luck Fordy!
What a beautiful scenery. I live in London and I love this city but countryside is just something else. I had to change my goal/plan (due to a mild injury last weekend during my long run in my low hamstring) and will be running half instead of full marathon in Budapest in three weeks time. I just wasn't ready for my first marathon and now decided to go for a half to avoid a more serious injury. Guess listening to your body is a wise thing to do?! Hope I can run my first marathon sometime next Spring. Any recommendation? Paris, Coppenhagen? One of my goals in running is to run the Berlin Marathon. Maybe next year if I get lucky in the Ballots. Good luck to you in Berlin!
What a beautiful scenery. Good vibes. I'm currently training for a half coming up in 3 weeks time in Budapest (was meant to run my first marathon but had to change my plan as my body couldn't cope with the workload and last weekend my low hamstring got stiff and painful around 20K so that was a clear sign for me that I simply wasn't ready). Any recommendations for first marathons for Spring 2025? Paris, Copenhagen? Good luck to you in Berlin!
Do you have aspirations or plans to aim for sub 3 at some stage. It seems like one of those running life goals in a similar way to a sub 40 10k or sub 20 5k

Maybe see you in Yorkshire. Just completed my longest training run and finally on the taper!
Come to the shakeout run
Best of luck to you both! I’m sure you saw Boston moved the goalposts, but we know Ben can still do it! 👊💪🏃
