3.10 is a really high RPM, so this is definitely more than I expected for a youtuber of your size. Keep going bro, those numbers will only grow.
Bro tech rpm usually is 10 - 15 dollar per 1000 views

That's great achievement honestly, congrats! I still remember my first YT 'paycheck'. Lot of great memories, and I was so proud of myself, but if it wasn't for my consistency (and a lot of Famester), I wouldn't have made anything as fast as I did.

3 RPM is quite crazy tbh. On my valorant channel I had 0.79RPM for majority of the year
Did you get most of your views from Shorts perhaps? Otherwise that’s an abnormally low RPM 😅
That's an amazing RPM!! Happy for you!!
this gives me hope
There's always hope, just gotta have the correct mindset 😊

It also depends were you live like in norway the rpm (revenue per 1k views) is 12 dollars so if he lived with the Norwegian laws he would make I bit above 300 per month or 3600 a year
That’s interesting! I earn in SEK, but so you mean the minimum rpm is $12? That’s a lot!
I just need to monetize to prove it to people that location also matters
@Mr_Z_ it does matter for sure, but also topic matters. Economics videos get more RPM than say gaming videos. Would be interesting if you could present some numbers from Norwegian channels 👌
Ye and the minimum if i correctly understand is 12 which probably is gaming vids cus they got a low rpm the highest is 25 dollars in a nich
And in India?
You have to be patient 🔥 Keep going and don't stop.
Closing in on a million subs, make anywhere between $2,500 to $7k in ad rev per month depending on how videos do :).
Keep it up everyone! It’s a grind but it’s worth it! 💪

Thanks for the info! I was actually wondering how much a gaming channed is paid, since starting one. One question, is that before or after youtube gets its cut?
The revenue number is basically what you’ll receive in your bank account. Best of luck with your channel 💪
@@Starix_Gaming Thanks bro!
Awesome man! Doing great! Keep going😊
bro I activated my monetization on youtube, I should be paid for the last 6 months? and if so, how long should money appear in the analysis
Revenue only counts from the day you get accepted into the TH-cam Partner Program and onwards, not 6 months before. You should see revenue updating with one or two day’s delay in the analytics.
It says Per Every 1000 views sir.
Just started my channel, my niche is very common but I enjoy it, keep grinding! 💪🏽

Thanks for sharing! Love your channel, photography is a hobby of mine 😊
This means your one video generates 50$? Or total videos of the month?

@@FactsTv-hi4ub Just saw your comment, sorry! Every video generates a set amount per thousand views, which the RPM shows (revenue per mille/thousand views). $50 a month is the revenue for all videos in total, not for one video.
@@Starix_Gaming oh.
I have a rule of thumb on average a TH-camr for every 300,000 views makes roughly $800-$1200 that’s what I noticed from my other channel with 20k subs in the anime community.
Me and my buddies are looking into starting one bro thx for the help!
thanks for the clarity on this! I'm currently trying to figure out ways to get more watch hours
You're doing a great job so far! Perhaps you could branch into Black Ops 4 tutorials as well? Educational content gets a lot of watch time over time. With gameplay videos you'll need to be creative and unique. There is so much gameplay, but you need to make yours the gameplay that's worth watching. I also see you have tried live streaming, which is amazing!
@@Starix_Gaming thank you so much for your help I'll give more tutorials a try!
I want to ask about niche. I heard that gaming doesn't give that much money. I want to do videos about psychology, philosophy. I wonder what would be rpm more or less?
Hi! It really depends on where you live and the quality of your videos. However in general I can say that finance and technology (AI) videos tend to have a higher RPM than average. Videos about psychology and philosophy will probably have an average RPM as there isn't as crazy much money in that area as tech and finance companies have. Don't let that stop you though since ad revenue can be a minimal part of a TH-cam channel's revenue stream if you set up affiliate links, have sponsors/collabs, receive donations, sell merch, and more :)
@@Starix_Gaming that's wonderful. thank you so so much ❤️❤️

Btw, I've watched a few of your vids, but was styll wondering, do you have any advice for me?
Like I said, I wanna restart my channel for more gaming.
I don't wanna show my face tho.
I currently have ~700 subs.
I have a Galaxy S22 Ultra, a PS5 & a Macbook (13in) that's brand new I got for a gift a couple of years back.
It has nothing on it. I haven't even set it up yet.
So what all that being said, what advice would you give me for starting?
Like, outside of jus "be consistent," etc.
And what else do I need to buy? (If anything at all)
Thank you again for any & all help! 👍🏾
You just need a smaller but LOYAL fanbase to make a good side income, you're right!
Tips for you to start out...
Gear: Very important to have good audio, I don't know how the phone mic sounds but investing in a real microphone like a Blue Yeti at least goes a long way.
Niche: What do you want to make content about? Who is your target audience? Why should your viewers watch your videos? Choose if it's going to be educational content or entertainment, or both! Totally depends on the topic/game but there are always gaps to fill when it comes to tutorials and tips & tricks. What I did was make OBS Studio tutorials few years ago and they still get views and subscribers today from people searching for these problems I show how to solve.
Content: Your videos need to have appealing thumbnails (the image you see before clicking). If there are similar videos with better thumbnails, they will most likely get more views. Look at your competitors in your niche - what do they do in their thumbnails that get them views? Don't make videos longer than they need to be, cut "filler" content that doesn't add value to the video. If you wouldn't enjoy watching your own video, chances are others won't either, so do you best getting well put-together videos. You don't necessarily need crazy and flashy edits that take years to learn, as long as you get the point across in the best possible way. The actual video idea itself will always be important, because it obviously gotta be interesting to watch or at least provide value.
Growth: Contact other gaming creators and build connections with them via Discord servers for example. See if you can collab with any of these creators, collaborations have made so many channels big over time. Again, try to take inspiration from what already works, but with your own twist! This is not copying, simply improving on something already successful, we see this in business all the time.
I hope some of this helps, feel free to contact me further at @starix_yt on Instagram or on Discord through my server here - discord.gg/JeWfQwbwKr
@Starix_Gaming
Niice man!
Now that's what I'm talkin bout for solid advice! 👏🏾 👏🏾
I appreciate that you had bullet points and went in depth wit each topic.
Ima take what you said seriously! 💯
Thank you so much bro! 👍🏾
bro i get about 17$ per month for 24k views, rmp is like 0.80-1.25$
How do you get monetised
At the monetization section in TH-cam Studio you can find the requirements to apply to the TH-cam Partner Program. Back when I applied the requirements were 1000 total subscribers and 4000 watch hours the past 365 days, but since then they have lowered the requirements. If your application is accepted you will be monetized.
how many uploads out of the total that month were shorts?
I uploaded maybe only 2-3 shorts during that period. Unless a short blows up you don’t really earn a lot, we’re talking a few cents per thousand views.
that is very good for a small channel, keep up the good work!
I always thought the rpm was way lower like 0.20 cents
For Shorts that is the case 👍
Hey that's a grand a year, and you're still growing!
It’s great passive income for sure!
I remember my first paycheck when there was no rules for monetisation.🤣 you could literally get like 10 Dollars a month and still get paid. I was a small youtube channel and that was long time ago.
More than few years later started my channel and staying consistent.
Yup I remember you needed 10000 views to apply for monetization many years ago and when I reached it they changed the threshold to 1000 subscribers and 4000 watch hours. But hey, good luck with your channel! 😊
Thx for this video; I expected it to be less but that’s great
Thats honestly more than i was expecting and im glad
That's exactly how much i would've expected. You also cant forget that the general average RPM nowadays is much much higher than it used to be.
A youtube i've been watching for over 7 years now does a break down of all of his income across all platforms every two years or so.
And he shows that even though he used to get close to 100mil views per month 3 or 4 years ago. He makes more money now through adsense with an average monthly viewership of around 20mil because of how much higher the RPM is.
Very interesting! Advertising costs have increased over the years. Thanks for sharing 👍
@@Starix_Gaming i didn't want to promote that youtuber his channel on yours but if you're ok with it i could sent the link
It's a pretty interesting watch tbh 😉
I’ve been trying to grow my channel and I don’t really know how. I stream almost everyday on twitch and sometimes on TH-cam I really don’t know what I’m doing wrong bcs everyone who’s watched before says they love it
Hi! I want to stress the importance of quality over quantity. You can stream every day but if it is not appealing content it does not matter at all. For TH-cam the title and thumbnail need to be intriguing for a new viewer to be interested in watching you live. You need to ask yourself when making content - would I watch this on my own free time?
There is always room for improvement so take a look at what makes other gaming streamers successful and implement it to your own channel. Good luck, and I will subscribe 😊
I was hesitant at first, but Zeru proved me wrong! As an aspiring artist, I needed to boost my TH-cam subscribers to gain more recognition. Thanks to Zeru, my subscriber count jumped dramatically, and now my music videos are reaching a broader audience.
How do you receive the money once your monetized
You connect your bank account through Google Ads and it will be sent automatically every months end if you meet the minimum requirements (~$70). If you don’t meet $70 in one month you will receive the money when that threshold is reached.
@@Starix_Gamingthis is actually very helpful thank you so much
No, You are gaming dude.. no company will not post ads for games but some... Like tutorial channels they received 200$ as a RPM companies like Grammaly post ads for tutorial channels
I make content creation tips and tricks and that’s what I get views for. My videos aren’t valued as highly by advertisers, that’s all 👍
@@Starix_Gaming U will get more money than these someday!!!
Thanks for being sincere just started my channel it’s a good niche but still growing
hey bro, are you getting this money because there is a 100$ treeshold as i know
Hi! The threshold right now is around $70 for me so I get paid almost every month 👍
Excuse me bro do you get paid from combined video views or a single video view?
Hi! You get paid for every ad watched, but with different rates depending on the advertisers budget and the viewer's interaction with the ad.
What is the rpm of the gaming channel How many dollars per thousand views are received on the gaming channel in the US
Hello! It really depends on what type of gaming videos you make and how your viewers specifically react to the ads placed on your videos. It is impossible for me to say exactly. The average range is $2-$4 per thousand views but can go up to $10 if advertisers value your content a lot.
Very easy and simple video, with the right informations! Thanks
Glad you found it useful! I hope you’ll go far with your channel 😊
@@Starix_Gaming Thanks

i need help, i was recently monitored with tons of tons of views on shorts but nothing is in my revenue, is it only for long videos or has it just not loaded yet?
Damn, I wish I had 3.1$ RPM
Does how much rpm you have bro
My RPM is 3x lower and my views vary slightly lower than your 30k/month. I have maybe 23k/month.
Interesting that 7k views more really changes that number drastically.
RPM is not calculated by amount of views, it’s calculated by how much advertisers are willing to pay to place ads on your video. So it could simply be the topic that isn’t too appealing to advertisers. Or you are publishing mostly TH-cam Shorts which don’t generate a lot of revenue in comparison to long form content.
@@Starix_Gaming I am prioritizing shorts over long-form content as of late, so that could be it.
@Cherribo that’s definitely why your rpm is so low, don’t worry about it :)

Ad revenue is only a small piece of the cake!
It's commendable that you've shared this information, however, it's important to emphasize that achieving similar results involves a multitude of variables unique to each content creator. To foster a truly informed and inspired community of content creators, we must prioritize transparency by providing a comprehensive understanding of the process.
Otherwise, content like this may inadvertently mislead viewers, leading to potential disappointment when they don't attain identical outcomes. It's imperative to acknowledge factors like RPM discrepancies, which are influenced by various elements including algorithmic distribution. Views alone do not define success. As creators, we bear a responsibility to shed light on these nuances that often remain undisclosed. While I appreciate the value in sharing this content, let's also be forthright in conveying that outcomes can significantly differ from one channel to another.
Correct! However I have a very average RPM so I speak for a big part of the monetized creators. Some earn more and some earn less 👍
Im in the US and my rpm is 0.23 dollars and my analytics are 170k views from long videos per month and i get less than 15 dollars
dang how you make so much??? i get les than $1 per thousand views :(

That definitely took me by surprise. I didn’t think it was going to be that much.

This is less than I expected! Damn. I guess do it for the passion.
Doesn’t have to be only for fun! Remember this is only ad revenue, there are many more income sources like affiliate links, sponsorships, etc. You can make it full-time! 💯
How to know if you start earning on TH-cam?
How is ur cpm so high? Other creators have like 4 cents
Hi! It might be because the creators you watched only make TH-cam shorts that earn significantly less. Or they live in a country where ads pay less overall regardless of content type.
I am located in Europe and get many of the views from long form content where advertisers are willing to pay more to place their ad with your video.
I have a channel with 32k and I didn’t monetize it yet but if I do will I have the same rpm because I get like 200 k views per month
That is around 200 to 500 dollars per month depending on rpm
This means over 3200$ per million views which is pretty good amount of money
Yes, but actually getting that many views only on one video even is a tough task. The revenue per 1000 views varies though, so it could be $10.000 as well.
lol definitely higher than I expected. I thought it was going to be $10.😂😂😭

Lets success together guys.. slow but surely
What niche are you in?
Hi! I make content creation and streaming videos
Cool man. Keep it up.
I appreciate my friend :)
Can someone tell me if socialblade is accurate which the earnings of ytbers?
It gives an extremely broad range for the estimation. For most channels the maximum estimated revenue is not accurate - it’s usually in the lower quartile of the estimation they give. However it totally depends on the RPM (revenue per thousand views) that the channel has.
Thank you for the information
For 30k views looks like a good deal, if the TH-camr lives in a country where dollar worth a lot its even better.
Definitely! Sometimes exchange rates can be in your favor 👍
Did you get the money from youtube shorts?
Some of it, but Shorts typically have an rpm of $0.10-$0.15 usd for me
does your engagement rate affect how much money you make?? For example, people who engages with your content more, will watch the full videos.
It does! You get paid for how viewers interact with your ads, as well as what the advertisers are willing to pay to put ads on your channel. If viewers watch more ads and interact with them you will earn more money
Solid for 30k views per month, keep going!
