    08:47 It looks like a lightweight hood... Strange to see the exhaust is allready black inside. I've seen other reviews also where they are more black... I've a 2019 mazda 3 with 9500 km's on it and the exhaust are still clean as they where when the car was new. Totally clean. By the way, good review AJ. Thumbs up. I still remember your review of my last car, an ibiza 6f. One of the reasons to buy it was your review of that car. Keep up the good work.

      Thanks a lot Vagg D. The Ibiza is also a great option. I would say that if you don't get the FR, it's a bit more plush than the corsa. Also, you get a bit more space in the back and in the boot in the ibiza, but the corsa is a bit lighter. The infotainment system is also a bit better in the ibiza. But there are a lot of cool new features on the corsa like the massage seat. The corsa might be a tad bit quieter inside. The interior quality is similar but perhaps the ibiza is a tiny bit better. In the end, choosing between the two according to me would come down to price and your preference for the design.

    You should try an easytronic in corsa d then you would praise this EAT8! I drove it myself and this automatic is the best on a corsa ever. Also you won't see the huge problems the vw golf or polo has with the 7 gears dry dsg transmission!

    • @HIIMUsc
      @HIIMUsc 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      there are a lot more VW‘s sold, so it would just make sense if you would hear that theyr transmission „sucks“, my guess would be that only a „few“ got the problems, but due to a lot of hate it gets spread more easily than something positive..

    • @testus86
      @testus86 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@HIIMUsc the problem is that their dsg was not well designed. They know their failure but they will never pay for it. In the end when something is wrong you have to pay for a complete new transmission and then the clutch or mechatronic will again start to wear and break maybe after 50000km. This is a joke and not german quality at all. The wet 6gears dsg does not have such issues so the dry one is a failure! I wouldnt have a problem if it breaks but then they should always pay for their mistakes during design. Anyway the eat8 seems to be really good from psa.

    23 years back GM set up shop in India and introduced the Opel brand, soon the brand gained recognition for its German class. But later GM lack of strategy saw it pulling the plug on the brand and replacing it with badge engineered Chevrolet's, but finally things didn't work too well for GM and it left the country on a sad note.. Now PSA about to venture here, they should try marketing Opel cars alongside the mainstream Citroen brand cars which they have pitched for the country.

    Nice looking car. I would love to see PSA group bring an affordable car to the USA. This segment is being abandoned by USA auto makers and others. As cars get more complex, less reliable, if I get another car it will probably be a new probably leased car, or no car at all. I think there should be an opportunity to sell an affordable car to younger, older, and any financially challenged car shopper. If I ever purchase another car, I will not be shopping at any dealer that doesn't offer cars. I have no need for an SUV or CUV and their large heavy wheels and tires.

    By my estimate (measured the slightly tilted cam view from the screen), the actual usd surface of the navigation screen is about 25% of the total "black" area of the 10 inch screen. Now there is a large edge not used at all as a display and then there's a large part left and right used for temperature settings. But if I'm going to pay for a 10" screen, I don't want a tiny area that's maybe 6" used as a info screen. Big fail, Opel.

    The luggage space, the trunk, is not bigger than the old Corsa, instead smaller...
    Corsa-e has 267 liters - even though the space is identical...
    The explanation is that Peugeot counts the space for the spare wheel as a part of the trunk and thus it sounds like it is bigger, it's a trick.
    Old Corsa 285 liters with double cargo floor, adjustable rear backrest and storage space for the parcel shelf behind the backrests.
    No doubt that old corsa is the better one regarding the trunk, despite a narrower opening.

      While the basic engineering work on the CMP platform and powertrains was done at the
      Groupe PSA technical HQ in Velizy, all the essential development of the Corsa was done by Opel engineers. Not just in Rüsselsheim, but of course also at our test center in
      Dudenhofen, on frozen lakes in northern Sweden, on the Nürburgring, and everywhere else we test and validate all of our vehicles. It is about how these parts and modules are
      used, tuned and integrated into the overall package that differentiates one car from
      another. Virtually all of the exterior and interior parts are unique to the
      Corsa. We're sure you will also agree that the 208 and
      Corsa look completely different from the outside and they have completely different
      cabin concepts. They are also completely different to drive. While there are of course some shared components, for example the basic wiring architecture behind the (completely different) dashboard, even here we have gone our own way. Just as an example, the climate control system works in a different way in the Corsa than it does in the 208.

    Poor Opel, even owner changed but still produce boring/undesired/unimaginative cars :( (still miss 2000's and earlier Opel)

      Yet the Corsa, Astra, Grandland and Crossland X as well as the Mokka and Insignia sell in large numbers.
      Hundreds of thousands of people must like them enough to put down their hard earned money for one.
