    I've seen photos of the real thing, Google the Internet, and I'm surprised by how good it looks. And they've kept proper button for the air conditioner!! My concern is it looks a lot like the new 208 but tammed. Hope it still brings the Corsa up the sales charts

    No, don't like the change!
    All the benefits of the old model is the most important thing in a car!
    You have to thrive when you sit in it, it should be simple, calm and safe.
    With good visibility and nice spaces, if this is not the case, it is entirely uninteresting how it is to drive...
    A bad car that is good to drive is still a bad car...
    The luggage space in the old one is no less in volume if you take into account much better height and that the back seat's backrest is adjustable... which is not in the new one.

    I owned the 5th generation and it was far more fun than the current VW Polo Mk6, so if you think that the new Corsa is already better than the old, I'll be looking to buy it again. The engine sound in the 5th gen Corsa is just as prrrfect and was one of the major reasons that I brought it. I hope than they will bring out a 1L auto as well and have a sport/turbo/gsi version of the auto.

    I am looking for a B sgegment EV, but not a sporty one. Just middle of the road, soft comfy, economic practical transportation. I do not like sportyness (= driving at unsafe/illegal speeds with uncomfortable suspension and hars seats). I do not like to shift gears manually. I don't care about top speed above 140 km/h and acceleration below 15 s to 100 km/h is fast enough for me. So, I think I would have liked the old Corsa better, but I stick with my Mitsubishi Space Star 1.2 CVT (80 HP) until there is a EV for the same price and the same everything else.

    Even thou it might do good for Opel do share so much with PSA, their customer base will go through some changes in the future for sure. PSA era cars will be completely different things compared to their cars made during GM ownership. Thou GM wasn't doing good business decisions with them, Opel at least had their own designs, platforms and engines, they had their own soul. Regardless of whether PSA era cars will be more reliable than the GM era cars, the change is happening nevertheless. Some Opel fans are fans because Opel was unique. Now with PSA, they're not (so much) anymore.

      @@stephen10. no one. Im fan of car industry. I hate opel but now im happy for the new design and technology from the new generation of PSA. Opel lost 260 MILLIONS € every years SINCE 1999. Opel is the badest car brand and most expensive in the world, in only 1 year in PSA, Opel win 600 Millions € thanks the PSA ingeniors who get the work of 4000 Opel ingeniors too expensive. Opel was dead, Peugeot make the biggest miracle of car industry.

    • @d-d-i
      @d-d-i 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Opel wasn't dead, they have been selling lots of cars despite making financial losses. They're popular because they were Opels, they had their own uniqueness. GM was the reason why they made financial losses, not Opel themselves. With this new ownership, they maybe making financial profits, but it came at cost of losing their own identity and uniqueness.
      And yes, I hate french cars.
