when the levante was first released it was so hyped that it got underappreciated so quick and no one looked at it again. but i feel that this version will be much more successful than the first gen.

Wife has one and I drive it a good bit. For the money, we liked it much more than the Q8. 40k miles and holding up better than my s4.
Very accurate review though. It’s a dinosaur but I like that’s it’s not super common and reasonably fun to drive for a boat. Worth noting that these sell new for 15-20% off instantly. Inflated MSRP is my biggest gripe.
True. Just looking at Autotrader, you can get the 424hp Levante for $10k off just to start out. I'd take this over the Cayenne which is it's closest competitor.

Hilarious someone paid 16 grand for this color only to get the base engine. That’s a questionable decision. Otherwise an awesome car with so much character!
some dont care i.e. my dad has a high optioned 5 series ( in europe), with the smallest engine available. He says the smallest engine is the best because it has the best fuel economy and needs the least maintainance.

Your reviews are great. I to drove a 70s ghibli and it was surprisingly truck like then I found out it had a solid rear axle with leaf springs. Nick Murray should buy that yellow levante.

OR... you could get the no-cost black and then wrap it that color: protects the finish and paint and it’s easy to care for. And it costs $12,000 less.

I'm all about driving feel above all else, but it's for that reason that I only ever seem to enjoy rwd, low, NA, manual cars. It's just a shame there are so few new cars that fit the bill

More people need to hear your take on this. I can happily bag on Alfa Romeos being crap cars that spend more time in the shop than on the road and nobody can refute me because there is objective data out there to support that. That being said I don't care and I still want a 4C!

Driving experience is so under talked about. A 100 horsepower Miata can be 100x more fun than a 300 horsepower Camry. People focus too much on numbers and judge cars without even driving them. Also a slow 0-60 time does not mean the car cant be fun!
Absolutely true! Handling ,steering feel and feedback makes up for it. You’re not a true vehicle enthusiast if you don’t enjoy even driving a normal/slow car. Slow fast is more fun and engaging thus fast fast

The car is a beautiful piece of Italian craftsmanship. If a little bulky. Still, very capable, and sexy. However, I do prefer the Stelvio Quadrifoglio...it's a 'meaner' machine IMHO. Your thoughts Ted?? Big kisses from Florence

@@TedwardDrives well my parent have one but if im honest, with the OPF here in Europe, it doesnt sound nearly as good at this thing. Those pops on the upshift are just insane! Might post a sound check on @belgain_x6 later. You will hear how poor sound is around here😥

I always recommend test driving some cars you normally wouldn’t consider. You may still end up with a familiar brand but it’s good to at least find out if you might enjoy a change

@@micropens That depends. Is that power enough for your needs? Is it the best looking car of its segment to you? Is that the color you always wanted? If the answer to those three questions is "Yes", then yeah, it is. If not, probably not.
16k is a 💩 ton of money for paint 🎨

Not sure if it's just the way it comes across on camera or what, gauge/clock whatever it is on the top center of the dash looks like it's pointed to the passenger rather than the driver. Even if it's in a neutral position between the two seats, I've seen other manufacturers with something similar that I've been able to read much easier from your POV. That annoys me

I don't get this idea that column mounted paddles are sporty. All serious racing cars have paddles on the steering wheel. And since most serious sporty road cars have progressive steering these days column mounted makes even less sense.
