"Its a good one to get into classics if you don't mind miserableness" 😂 I love that I feel you on there just being so many good books read in last year. Having a real time narrowing mine down too. Woman in White is definitely in my favorites too! Piranesi is just about a perfect novel, everything has a place. It reads like a thriller too. Independent People is on my tbr shelf for the year, glad it made an impact, I'm even more excited to get to it.
So glad you found so many new books you love! I know I can always count on you for classics recommendations so I will refer to this list if I’m in the mood for a classic, haha. Piranesi made it to number 5 for me as well, so good!! Agree with everything you said about it. Hmm, good point about not starting with Jane Eyre so I end with her best one. Maybe I’ll check out another of one of her books first and then get to Jane Eyre! And very happy to see a Fredrik Backman here and glad that Ove affected you, even though it was really hard to revisit that grief. I haven’t experienced those things so it didn’t hit me as hard as it did for you but it’s still a really good book ❤️
@@LibrariesandLattes Thank you. I think that if you are not necessarily interested in reading all of Charlotte Bronté's work, you can safely read Jane Eyre first. It is a fantastic book!
I completely agree that you should start with Charlotte Brontë's other novels before reading Jane Eyre! Jane Eyre is fantastic and the others just can't complete!
We watched the film for A man called Ove over the holidays and my 14 years old son and I were crying like babies at the end! I had read the book years ago and I knew what was coming but I couldn’t help myself… Jane Eyre is son good! ❤
Wives and Daughters was in my Top 10 too, it's a real shame there was no ending as North and South has one of the best endings ever. Piranesi blew my mind too, I need to read Jonathan Strange this year. Middlemarch and Jane Eyre were on my top 10 the previous year, although I prefer Middlemarch and watching bits of the miniseries this year reminded me how much I love the characters. I do have the rest of Charlotte Bronte left to read, I should have saved it!

@AaronReadABook I need to get my hands on the Middlemarch mini-series. I'm very excited to read North and South soon.
I really want to try Elizabeth Gaskell this year.
And I love The Woman in White!
@@Maeve_Ever_Books Oh, I hope you do enjoy Gaskell when you read her 😊
@ I’m sure I will! I’ve heard wonderful things!
