I don’t play anymore but they are definitely the OG archetype. I think six samurai was the first competitive archetype (gladiator beasts and lightsworn came after if I remember correctly)
While six samurai did come out first, gladiator beasts were competitive first. Six samurai debuted in strike of neos and gladiator beasts debuted in gladiator assault. Samurai didn't get all the amazing support they needed till storm of ragnarok.
@@Trigger99X That is a good point. Great Shogun might be kagemusha. Just remembered something. Spirit of the six samurai is shinai but the same thing happened to shien. Forgot the cards name but it looks like he does end.
@@itachir8290 honestly I think kagemusha maybe shinai and mizuho’s son since he’s wearing shinai’s necklace, along with legendary shiens armor against great shogun. And face-off shows mizuho’s fail attempt to end shien when fighting kagemusha. So we see Shien spirit but whether or not that is him dead from after the duel remains to be seen
@@Trigger99X That lore sounds correct except for hand of the six's failed attempt to end shien. There is a card where shien is standing and hand is laughing in the background over his demise or something of that matter.
@@itachir8290 I think that’s the face-off trap where he’s looking at her and his symbol is on her, in stand-off she’s behind him brandishing the knife. In face-off the knife is in the air so I don’t think it’s about to hit him cuz we did get evenly matched years later
I already proxied all the cards when theh were first announced and habe been practocing with them. I'm convinced this deck is going to go tier 1. And thankfully the new support is such easy access
@@fabianbeteta5795 No I don't, but Samurai have ninja descendants in real life, which is maybe why the cards can work well together. I actually have a Six Samurai/Ninja hybrid deck, it works fine, it's just missing a few pieces. Maybe if I got some of this support in the future it would see improvement.
Kagemusha is victorious in the end. Shien gets bound to his shogun armor as a spirit and kagemusha becomes shadow of the six taking his place because the people of the nation couldn’t tell the difference
Konami: Here are some new six sams monsters and six strike stuff! Players: Six strike? Is that an archtype? Anyways, thanks for the six sams monsters. Konami: Y-yeah... okay.
Put your mind at ease. I've been playtesting this deck with all the new support ever since it was announced. The deck has truly favorable matchups against tenpai, yubel, and most rogue. Snake eyes is rough.
Not to be that guy but six samurai weren’t even CLOSE to being one of the first archetypes. You had 5 years of a multitude of archetypes before it was even released in 2007. Even if we ignore all the crappy archetypes in early Yugioh that never saw much play, or ignore cards that didn’t have much of an archetype but got more printed (BEWD, DM for example) and go with JUST the ones that were once viable, it’s like the 20th archetype released. And again, that’s ignoring about 20-30 failed archetypes released beforehand
Okay. But when can we get more love for the MAINLINE archetype that these fuckers came out with? Where's the Gladiator retrains? I swear, it's like they hit tier 0 over a decade ago and Konami got scared. Instead, they just push Samurai again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and...
"Konami this is the 7th time you've shown Six Samurai support...." No but seriously I feel like this is the 4th or 5th time they've made new Six Sam stuff in the last half decade or so
As far as I can tell, the last time they got support (which was just the link monster) was in one of the link VRAINs packs in 2018 in Japan, prior to that was the secret six in Spirit Warriors in 2017. Unless I'm missing some spell or smth, its been over 5 years for these guys. Probably for the best considering what the Six Sams do in modern metas.
Six Samurai was my first full archtype and im glad it's getting an update.
Can't wait for that Gateway retrain...
Bought the structure deck back then, swapped out a few cards, never looked back. Glad to see more support to one of my favorite classic decks

Kagemusha might have won, as he takes up shiens armor as the victor, hence his previous changing of outfits.
Well legendary shi en is a past version so I don’t think the lore is really updated because it’s kagemusha vs great shogun
@@Trigger99X

My last name is actually Sheehan which sounds identical to Shi En 😂
Is and was my alltime favourite at the same time with blackwings
Can't believe the match is no longer even
YESSSS, Six Samurai was the first deck I made when I came back to yugioh and it's one of my favorite archetypes. I'm so excited
I rember getting some of those dragon cards from the mangas at my library when I was a kid
Just was thinking about learning the deck now its gonna smash even harder
I've never stopped playing this archetype, so I'm always happy with more support for them. Hopefully some of this comes to Duel Links soon.

BROOOO, we LOVE six samuari
Six Samurai was fun fun back in the days, but sometimes got stuck because ofnlow atk
Oh shit, this deck type was my favorite back in the day. To see a new Shien might actually interest me to get back in
The six samurai archetype will rise.
Isn't the Shi En from the legendary six Samurai the so'n of the original Shien?
So happy to hear this news. Definitely gonna buy a whole six samurai deck build 😎👏
Cant wait to get these for my deck
So what booster pack are these new cards going to be in?
Bro when are Elementsabers getting support😭😭😭😭 honestly
Facts! You’d think so since they were one of the first archetypes included, early, in MasterDuel
@KiyoshiKing …and because it’s been my favorite archetype since like forever 😭
Gateway should have been a field spell card from the get-go.
Six sam/ninja gonna go hard.
You know about ninja vs. six samurai war ?

Bro I just picked up six samurai for fun and now I'm glad I got it.
I'm not 100% sure but there MIGHT be more than 6 now

You did not just use the part of the surrender sfx in masterduel as a sfx transition xdd
Is that shien or blue flame?
Can't wait for the new support
As a six sam player the deck is dead and with the noble link banned things look bad for my samurai i hope im wrong

The new enishi synchro is a great card for the new generation of six samurai monsters
I still want retrains of the first six they put out but as extra deck monsters
The Six Samurai always get crazy strong support. Can we do stuff like this with ninjas!?!? Please
Wake up honey new six sam loops about to become a menace
Bruv i cant tell you how excited i am for the new cards, cant wait to get a qcr Shi En to match my Ulti Shi En

Yet they still cant save ancient gear
Meh, the only modern use for 6 Samurai is winning the Maxx C challenge on master duel
Now just give me more gladiator beast support please

“Broken”
yes
There’s a combo to skip your opponents turn lol
Until gateway is at least at 2, no one will actually play six sam
Oh imma play it alright. We don't need 2 gateway. That's a luxury.
I play six sam
Annoying
