As I understand it the floating market runs from May onwards and is located near Kuriana about 25-30kms from Bharisal. Would love to hear more from locals on how to get there, best time of day to visit and where to eat.

In winter the water in the river dries up, and in the rainy season it fills up again. If u go there in rainy season or after it u will find more beautiful Scenes and more enjoyable moments. It also busy when the river fills up. u can find people buying and selling things by there little boats.
if you come to Indonesia, you can go to Banjarmasin in South Kalimantan, where the river is wide and the floating market is full of visitors and there are many typical Kalimantan foods sold in the floating market, there are also river-style coffee shops
