The Scream Let It Scream beginning to end is unbelievable...Every song is awesome!!! Brings back lots of memories...The Scream and Lillian Axe should have been huge....oh well
Star Wars Fan I'm just now seeing this but brother I'm sorry for your loss it's good to have a great song to remind you of your dad. Stay strong friend!
You are 100% right. The Scream and L. Axe were CRIMINALLY underrated! Add Tyketto, Southgang and (especially) Enuff Z'Nuff to that list. If these bands debuted in 1985 instead of 1989-91, would have been a much different story.
When my dad brought me the disc from John back his last trip out to the states, and I had the priveledge of speaking to John on the phone about the meaning of this song and how it came to life, it has very very deep personal meaning and made that bond between father and son that much stronger. Thanks John, you have no idea how much it means to me. Miss you Dad. RIP.
I love this song. You really have to pay attention to the lyrics though it's not a song about a son missing his parents. Actually the song is about a son who made a mistake that cost him his life and he is looking down from heaven missing his parents and regretting the decision he made. Great song.
i'm going to use your comment in a status on fb with this video. thank you for helping me to really listen closer though i am missing my parents especially my dad( sept. 27th is his bday) and thinking of mistakes i made then my dad standing by my side
Absolutely one of the best rock records to come out of LA. I remember when the Scream demo came out on cassette with Outlaw on one side and Man in the Moon on the other. We played that thing in a constant loop.
Driftaway is the last cut on the 1994 self-titled 'Motley Crue' album. Fantastic album with Bob Rock outdoing himself with the production on it! I feel to this day that if they had changed their name, even just for that one album - with that heavy sound - it would have been more widely accepted in the U.S.
This song makes me well up every time I hear it. An awesome song from a great band. Just wish they had been luckier and Corabi hadn't been tempted by the Crue.
I recommend a book called 'The Dirt' (the motley crue auto-bio) to anyone even if your not a motley fan. the crue themselves thought that corabi was the shit. And he is.
Justin White I wish they would have done more music with corabi, his voice has soul, grit, emotion, he has such a better register of voices, where Vince only has one, just keeping it real.hey this is just a moment in time like this songs, 30 years from now will anybody see it or care, we're just tiny fragments in time.
I was lucky enough to see him sing with Motley in Cleveland! In all honesty he is a much better front man and vocalist than Vince Neal! Sorry Vince( and I am a huge CRUE FAN)I wish i could have seen the Scream !Does anyone know of any live footage available to the mainstream??
It was a very underrated band, with excellent songs and musicians.

Such a heartbreakingly beautiful song. It makes me tear up every single damn time I hear it.

I love this song, I lost my dad on March 3, 2017. The opening verse had me tears. As, time went on this song has made me stronger!
Just lost my dad March 28th of this year. This song reminds me of him. Love ya dad. R.I.P.
+Michael Owens March 3rd 1988, and this song still can make my eyes mist thinking of my dad.

Beautiful metal ballad song

After twenty years I still can't listen to this song without feeling like I've been punched in the gut. Great song.

Rock-N-Review
The biggest mistake John Corabi ever made was answering the phone when Nikki Sixx called.
Why do you say that? If it wasn't for him being in Motley Crue most people wouldn't even know about this band.
That Motley Crue album that Corabi was on is their best album.
@@thedude9941 Correct.
