I absolutely love your videos! Your explanations are always so clear and fun. Of course, my favorite part is watching your sweet Rachel, and listening to her 'braaaaak'. I always pretend I'm givivg her gentle head scritches and talking quietly to her. Very soothing! ❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰🦜🦜🦜

This has got to be the best videos of yours yet! Very important information here! I love to take my birds, one at a time, into a warm quiet and calm room with soft sunshine and spend some quality time together! Then other times the dining room where they hang out is sunny, bright white, cheerful, happy music, toys, treats and fun... a birdy party at it's best!! I used to have a ring neck pheasant who would entertain the whole flock by literally playing his original drum solo on a big drum kit!! Rachel is so happy, well and such a beautiful co star! Your whole flock and family r awesome! Keep up the great work!❤❤❤

PATIENCE! Yeees!, Yees, yes. Mammals are totaly different creatures. Many people have a difficult time adjusting for the fact birds think and behave differently from mammals. Any kind of rush is not their thing. Great video. Humans are mammals and hyperactive compared to reptiles or birds. Birds are partially reptiles, ...see reptilian pattern on feet. They are totally different creatures from mammals. If you can get in sync with your bird wonderful things will happen ...an incredible bond will develop. It is difficult, ...we are mammals! We don't give our birds the time they need.

YES! Agree 100% as a reptile and mammal owner! They are SO different! Slow and steady wins the race with our feathered and scaled friends unlike kittens or puppy’s who adore the attention. Predator vs. prey animal needs to be taken into account for sure!

Ms. Rachel is SO sweet! Watching her politely asking for scritches while you are explaining in this video is just so cute! I’m currently working on building trust with our Senegal- he has very much bonded to my husband although I am the one who feeds, and cares for him 😂 I was sick the first week we had him- it has definitely affected our relationship 😢
I’ve been working on training- some simple tricks, and he’s been landing on my head the last few days which seems like a good sign.

Does the senegal bite you. Mine bonded to me but she seems to try to bite everyone else.

@ he used to CONSTANTLY bite me, and he would lunge at me when standing near his cage. His ‘dad’ has been working on biting in general and it’s gotten a lot better- I try to make sure all of my movements around him are slow and intentional- just this morning he let me give him scritches on his head without biting me! He followed me around the kitchen all morning while his ‘dad’ was at work- I really think we are making progress!

Thank you for this educational video. I have a question, We are looking to get a new parrot after losing our dear friend of 16 years a couple of months back. We are now in our early fifties, so this begs the question. Should we get a new parrot knowing it may outlive us? We know how devastated we are about our friend not being with us anymore. Do parrots feel the same when they lose their human friend?

With the upmost respect shouldn’t the city and state get the water issues fixed and in place before any rebuilding etc. May God bless every single person affected. ❤

What do you feed him? Be sure to feed a well balanced diet of fresh fruits/veggies and pellets. Seeds should be only a very small portion of their diet.
Does your parrot have enough toys and things to keep him busy when he's in his cage? A bored parrot may pluck to relieve boredom.
Is he getting enough out of cage time, at least 2-3 hrs/day? A parrot that is caged too much and does not get enough attention may pluck.
Did your parrot pluck before you got him? Sometimes, despite our best efforts, feather plucking may become a habit. So even when they are in a good environment with good food, they may continue to pluck.
      Hope this helps.❤
