High quality and informative install guide! It has a much better pace than most official bumper install videos. Much more fun to watch than mine lol
Great work. Even though you weren’t the first to do an install of this bumper, it’s still helpful. That winch control box mount is money! Thanks.
Yep. Trying to make the “definitive” version that doesn’t skip important parts. ☺️
Great video helped tremendously thank you! Exactly the details i needed. You were right that no one has done a very detailed video of this install, appreciated.
Turned out great! These step-by-steps are super handy, especially for the tricky bits/problems. ✌️
Thanks man! They're fun to make and I'm happy to help folks out.
I think the rubber edge guard looks very nice. great addendum from editor Jason
Yeah it solved a couple problems and looks better in my opinion.
@@JasonExplainsThings Hey Jason where did you get the edge trim and what size?
This is a awesome video! Thanks Jason.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for making this video. Helped out a lot.
Excellent!
Looks great, good job
Thanks Barnyard!
@@JasonExplainsThings I shared this on TacomaWorld.com. Think some people there might find this video useful. :)
Sarge is looking mean!
Yeah I'm very happy with the end result. This is also the cleanest winch install to date... very pleased.
Cool video
Thanks Anthony. 👍
As usual Another excellent and fun video but….please do a short story video on that awesome tiger trash can lol.
😂 I just might.
13:12 do you have the video link for the mud cakes getting on the fog lights? Thank you
Does the aftermarket front bumper adversely affect the ability for the air bags to deploy if involved in a front end collision?
What rubber guard are you using and what size? Edge size?
Good video Jason, is there any type of weather strip you could use on the winch. Could you the same protector for the bump and the new bumper for the winch.
Do you mean in that spot it touches the aluminum past the fairlead? Yeah, a rubber piece wouldn't work in this case. It only touched when the line is angled all the way down. But I still was uncomfortable with that so I ground a sizeable amount away so it can hardly touch at all... and I made it smooth to the touch (essentially like another fairlead on the inside). I think it solved the problem.
@@JasonExplainsThings ok wasn’t sure if that or something similar would work.
PHASE 2!
In full effect!
Question: did your bumper come with the holes pre drilled for the light bar bracket? Trying to do this to mine and I’m not seeing any holes to mount the light bar bracket
Yes they were predrilled.
Looks great - how bad did it impact your mpg?
We talked about recently in a chat video. We were driving a pre-production vehicle so it could be different but I think we were getting 14-15 on the highway.
Why did you relocate the winch control box? Was there anything that interfered if you didn’t ?
It’s very close to a power steering line. Also gets it up higher from any water.
Can you show how to use the winch with that bumper
Here’s a great video we did on winching. But I’ll be sure to do more in the future.

@JasonExplainsThings I guess more specifically how do you get your hands in the cbi bumper and plug in the trigger to use the clutch for the cbi bumpers. No one has a video for this and lots of people are looking to buy thies bumpers. Can every thing be reached and if not what would you do different for your install.
