Love this mate, thank you. Aim of my channel was never to make it about me. I’m just a football loving guy who wants to showcase football fans on the whole.
I've always admired the clubs from this area, particularly Rochdale, Oldham and Bury. The fans have got 2 European giants on their doorstep but they've all got great following and their fans stick with them through thick and thin.
Really enjoyed this! I'm a Brentford fan, so grew up with us playing the likes of Rochdale and Oldham. Two top clubs who I hope return to the football league soon.

I love English football. 5th tier with that many fans and passion. You are right, why do they not show this on the Tele. The police shouldn't need to do anything as people should behave but yes police know about this and didn't help the minimum wage stewards.

My Grandads brother use play for Rochdale in the 50's 'Jimmy Anders' before he moved to Accrington, Harry his other brother was first division with Preston then Man City before joining Jimmy at Accrington, sadly both passed away

No need to say anything bout the stewards or the police, -the fans need to take responsibility for their childish behaviours. It did look a superb game to be fair. And you're right, the National League is brilliant. Take a look at the National League North too.
Totally agree but if police there in numbers it helps, fans got on the pitch far to easy and nothing happened to them. Ye I cover most leagues matey, did two pieces on Scunthorpe last few weeks so check them out

I worked with the latics home stand and they are very passionate about their team however they are up for it given the chance. Stewards are only people, they are not security or fighters themselves. There are sia badge holders there but never enough to stop a crowd of fans up for it. Police are paid to attend but are only there for support. At this instance support was needed and and where are they. Fans are responsible for their own behaviour and want to act like this with many actually wanting this. Pitch invasions can cost the club £1000 per person who invades. Last season they wanted to invade and I said that your club will be fined. Their response was so what, not my money. Which I replied "that's why your club is struggling because they are constantly paying fines for your behaviour" to be honest, I think the fans like being at this level, they get away with more. It's a difficult one to prevent the behaviour of fans, how do you punish them? You could van them which has happened before at Oldham but the owners wanted the fans in seats making a noise which you can't have if you banned then all. Then there's fining the club by deducting points. Should stop the fans behaviour or maybe not but comes unfair to the players. So no easy solution. £22 a ticket though is extortionate
Great Vlog, Rochdale messed up the ticketing for this and Oldham sold out 3000 plus in under 4hours which left a lot of Oldham fans in Home areas. I dont know why they didnt give us two stands they need the money. Anyway 3pts.
Oldham messed up the ticketing. They should have only sold them to their season ticket holders. GMP won't let Dale sell more seats to Owdum - although they do for well behaved clubs
Wasn’t Rochdale fault for the tickets it was oldham for putting them on general sale at the time. Why would we have you two stands not a chance unless you had the Conner of Perl street at the time

When you come to VP next Lee call into the Corn Dolly on Bolton road great football fans who have been going years a proper city pub but its great beer so we usually get visiting fans too but always a great atmosphere and walking distance to the ground you may even see some decent football now Hughes has gone great vlog at Spotland keep up the good work
Been a Latics fan all my life and yesterday's game was sensational. Felt the 16 minutes (which endes up 18 minutes) was a bit excessive. But it was cool to see it from a Rochdale stand just how loud Oldham was compared to Rochdale. Great game yesterday. Big up the Latics

Trouble is most stewards are just local people getting paid about £20 for a days work , they aren't professional , who wants to get a slap for £20 , I blame football clubs for relying on untrained people to do the policing , 30 years ago there would have been a line of coppers separating the ends. These days police are out hunting hurty words online. Stewards do about as much as they can , but tbh if it's a slap in the face or just let them slap each other I'd let them go at each other , plus if you did get a bit handy to stop it , you would no doubt probably catch a charge yourself so stuff it imo.
There was an Oldham fan right in front of the camera , at 2-2 the rochdale fans were giving it the big un near the camera to the away fans , yet when he jumped up cheering and singing , apart from one fan giving him a dirty look no one did anything. Seems Oldham had integrated themselves in the home end. Apart from the fat guy who knocked an oldham fan spark out and took on 3 more , no one else did anything. Whilst im not a fan of trouble in the grounds at football , for me it doesnt help the game at all and actually just looks bad and embarrassing now , it was an extremely interesting video to watch , i think i rewound bits two or three times to see little bits of the action in the stands. Policing was dreadful , stewarding is useless , who wants to get beaten up for £20 , there needs to be proper policing or the stewards need to be well trained and up for it. They allowed an oldham fan to simply leave the home stand and go into the away end , there was one guy stopping the steward going after the fat guy who punched an oldham fan. For about 30 seconds it was like it was 1994 again. Nice to see care in the community getting to games with the shaved headed guy in glasses next to the camera , a bit simple but at least he understood when to cheer.
@@aroundthegrounds1 ahh right , tbf he didn't cheer the 4th , I think he forgot where he was when the third went in 🤣🤣 I tend to go to solihull moors as they are my local non league club , just round the corner , I cant afford away games with the villa so if there is a home game while villa are away then I'll go , the national league is cheaper , more relaxed , moors don't have the following of Oldham though, or even Rochdale, but I still enjoy the feel of non league games. No other country can fill a ground like this game in the 5th league like ours.
You can blame your marauding forefathers for that. In the case of India, Pakistan, West Indies, Jamaica etc... we literally 'beat the British' into them. Also worth considering, that we could easily become climate migrants ourselves at some point in the future. Barring Mars being easy to get to, we may need higher ground ourselves 🙂

Oldham fans ran on the pitch at Chesterfield and attacked the goalkeeper but once again nothing will be done about it.

Trouble is most stewards are just local people getting paid about £20 for a days work , they aren't professional , who wants to get a slap for £20 , I blame football clubs for relying on untrained people to do the policing , 30 years ago there would have been a line of coppers separating the ends.
These days police are out hunting hurty words online.
Stewards do about as much as they can , but tbh if it's a slap in the face or just let them slap each other I'd let them go at each other , plus if you did get a bit handy to stop it , you would no doubt probably catch a charge yourself so stuff it imo.

There was an Oldham fan right in front of the camera , at 2-2 the rochdale fans were giving it the big un near the camera to the away fans , yet when he jumped up cheering and singing , apart from one fan giving him a dirty look no one did anything.
Seems Oldham had integrated themselves in the home end.
Apart from the fat guy who knocked an oldham fan spark out and took on 3 more , no one else did anything.
Whilst im not a fan of trouble in the grounds at football , for me it doesnt help the game at all and actually just looks bad and embarrassing now , it was an extremely interesting video to watch , i think i rewound bits two or three times to see little bits of the action in the stands.
Policing was dreadful , stewarding is useless , who wants to get beaten up for £20 , there needs to be proper policing or the stewards need to be well trained and up for it.
They allowed an oldham fan to simply leave the home stand and go into the away end , there was one guy stopping the steward going after the fat guy who punched an oldham fan.
For about 30 seconds it was like it was 1994 again.
Nice to see care in the community getting to games with the shaved headed guy in glasses next to the camera , a bit simple but at least he understood when to cheer.

I tend to go to solihull moors as they are my local non league club , just round the corner , I cant afford away games with the villa so if there is a home game while villa are away then I'll go , the national league is cheaper , more relaxed , moors don't have the following of Oldham though, or even Rochdale, but I still enjoy the feel of non league games.
No other country can fill a ground like this game in the 5th league like ours.
