@@basicallynothing9021 yep it was really tough I wasnt really expecting that insane jump from the 8th gym to the elite 4 then Cynthia so it was quite the surprise but I welcomed it as it made it much more challenging which I really enjoyed in the end!
It gets hate cause there is no more difficulty to it like any other pokemon game on the switch. They've nerfed the game too much and it requires little challenge or thought anymore.
The national dex is necessary for a majority of the post game content as they won't unlock until after you get it, affectively making the national dex the most important thing to obtain: 1. Rematching the gym leaders. 2. Getting Bebe's Eevee. 3. Unlocking Ramanas park. 4. Getting Rotom. 5. Pokémon infestations ("There's a lot of voltorb's on route 208!"). - Mentioned in video 6. Underground getting more Pokemon. - Mentioned in video 7. Unlocking the route that was blocked by a man near the end of victory road. 8. Getting the Pokéradar, the catching charm, and DS sounds. 9. Getting all the apps on the Pokétch. 10. Rematching the Elite Four. There's most likely even more things, but I can't think of what all they are.
Ok so I beat the elite four and got the national dex but I can’t rematch the gym leaders and when I rematch the elite four they treat me like I never beat them in the first place
@@FLAMEC5 Interesting. Once you get the national dex and leave Rowan's lab, Roark should appear from the grand underground to tell you that the gym leaders want a rematch with you. I'm not sure if you have to re-battle them in order or not, though. As well, I'm not sure if the elite four will be rematchable until after you've re-beaten the 8 gym leaders.

i really hope we get some add ons to the events. If we can get an extra bit of content through events, this could really become one of the better remakes.
I never understood nostalgia until I saw the post game for the Giratina event for BDSP. Platinum was the first Pokemon game I completed, and I have fond memories of it. Seeing Platinum be recognized is pulling my heart strings. Say what you will about the remakes, but the developers knew how to harness the nostalgia that the pokemon franchise has become so dependent on.
It took me 25hrs to do all the trainer battles, beat all the gym leaders, complete the elite 4, and finish the regional dex. I'm happy there is so much post game content, because I was going to be sad otherwise
The mysterious shards are a pain. Been digging for 4 hours and only got enough to catch the regis. So annoying I dont even feel like wasting more hours to get the other legendary pokemon
@derekosgood3230The problem is that besides the graphical update, there's no reason to play this over the original. Heck play Platinum instead, it has more content and a better story than BDSP and DP. Edit: Forgot to mention the weird difficulty curve at the end. Oh well at least I get a free Darkrai in Legends Arceus
A work around to this is using a different user profile. Bonus points if you have Pokemon Home as you can transfer Pokemon through different games and user profiles too.
In my game, none of the gym leaders are able to be rematched, and the elite 4 never got their upgraded teams. Idk why. I got National Dex before beating elite 4 so idk if it glitched out or not
it doesnt let me battle the gym leaders twice, i cant get into the snowpoint temple after beating the champion and i cant get into the boat at snowpoint
I’m stuck on the way to Stark Mountain on the hill just to the right of the house with the old lady who wants you to rest over and over. I’ve gone up the steps, but there’s a rock edge and no way to proceed. Can anyone help me? I would hate to have to give up!
Is there a reason the boat man tells me "I would take you,but theres a kid who wouldnt stay in place and i had to take him, and now i have no gas left" Do I have to do something else ?
Actually that is not true to get to level five Eevee you must have the national Pokédex and I already haven’t even before beating the elite for and I still can’t do it because Cynthia is way too hard but if you just have the national Pokédex without being the lead for you can still get the level five Eevee
Being able to have a torterra (I know I know but he was my first starter ever), blastoise, charizard, and a dragonite all from the grand underground has been awesome
I'm assuming you're not using emuNAND and your switch got banned. You're unable to use Pokémon Home anymore. However I heard there's an app called Poke Hex that you can use to transfer Pokémon to a save file. I reccomended looking into it and using that. Though it does require a PC.
They have much better move pools and synergy but they aren't difficult in the slightest, because of the shared xp across party members I was on average 10 levels above all the elite four and 5 above Cynthia's, beat them on my first try
I do not recommend these games over platinum. These games were fun to play because of the recent glitches, but now that the glitches are patched, the games are completely worthless.
I'm missing 1 pokemon from my Sinnoh Dex because I missed all the trainers in the Hearthome gym and went straighf to Fantina now I have to wait until Friday to catch Drifloon and hopefully unlock my national dex 😂
This guy just has approximate knowledge on what he's talking about. IV is intrinsic values? Yeah, it means the same but it's not what it's called. Also, rotom *evolves* into different forms??
Although this is a great guide. I'll keep it short. No, there is nothing worth your time after beating Cynthia. Sell the game, and find a new one to play. You're welcome.
Really enjoyed these remakes, felt the elite 4 were much tougher compared to the likes of Sword and Shield! Looking forward to future updates
I swept the entire sword and shield Pokémon league with a sir fetched haha, Cynthia in this one gave me a heck of a struggle with my team.

I would like to thank the creators of this game for having me hyper-fixated on catching them all; for better or for worse.
