Fave Darryl memory… 1982 International League AAA playoff game in Rochester NY (Orioles) l. Darryl got off the Tides’ bus - I never saw such a tall guy before. Towering. Told everyone in the stands about him. He hit an oppo HR and stole a base.
Gotta agree with his #1, that one that was still climbing when it hit the clock in St. Louis in 85. If that back wall hadn't been there, we'd still be waiting for that one to come down. It would have made it to orbit.
Darryl Strawberry hit some memorable Home Runs at Shea and on the Road.
He's awesome.
Still my all time favorite player.
Wow, I knew it. I was there behind the dugout when Strawberry hit that one off of Franco. Two run bomb Hernandez on first down one in the bottom of the 9th. It bust a light bulb...never forget ✨️
It was actually extra innings, the Reds had taken the lead in the 10th
@@8644mec correct. Realized that after I zoomed in on the score board. It was a memorable night.I had just got out the Army
I’ll be there Saturday for Straw Day! - lots of great memories of those 86 Mets/Straw Bombs - peace from CT.
Darryl is a great guy :) and those shakes look really good
I'm less than one minute in, and...yes, I came to see if the HR off of Dayley was #1. Glad to see. PS, spell Dayley's name right, will you?
25:51 💯
Strawberry used to hit some bombs.
