      If he beats Jiri Alex will become the Greatest Combat Sports Athlete of all time. First ever and still only Glory Double Champ, like 5 or 6 title defenses there. If he beats Jiri he has beaten 4 UFC champions which is insane and he did it in only 2 years his debut was on November 2021 its crazy best addition ever to the UFC Alex first made MW interesting then he made LHW way more interesting nobody did what Alex did in only 2 years in the UFC. To think Alex has not even been training MMA for 4 years more like 3,5 years is just insane

      its really cringey how people take sides during this thing, like its one thing to want one of them to win but when people get emotionally involved its so weird, these are grown men btw, I still remember when Izzy knocked out Alex a whole bunch of people in the audience just looked so unhappy, it was like they were desperate to see that narcissist Izzy get knocked out again, and I'm like how are you this spiteful that you care about this more than Alex himself did, and if they find Izzy a garbage person, why are they so emotionally involved to the point that he's living rent free in their heads?

And of course you're upset if your side loses. People do that all the time in football and pretty much every single other competitive sport. This is especially true if you have a rivalry with the other side and Izzy and Alex definitely have one what with all the potshots they took at each other and their kickboxing matches prior to the UFC.

    This is why agree with Mighty mouse about how mma is probably the easiest sport where u can become a world champion. Not saying saying Alex is not good but hes a perfect example of you just got to be good enough and have the right opponent selected and the UFC giving you favorable match ups to become champion. Another example is Sean O'Malley, dude Cleary got easy fights and lost his first real challenge but got a gift decision. Then he gets an undeserved title shit but pulls it off due to a lucky shot from a bad game plan Aljo. Now he's getting a more favorable match up in the rematch in chito , rather than Cory Sandhagen or rematch against Aljo or Merab.

    Alex is really cool but I think his fanbase is just as annoying and corny as Izzy fans.
    Most of them dont seem like real fans of him and are more Anti-Izzy fans.

    • @ZolPsyko
      @ZolPsyko ปีที่แล้ว

      @ignacioblancot775 The normal Izzy fans are usually more quiet lol. The dog stuff was definitely weird and not okay, but one, it was from years ago, and two, I feel like people are being disingenuous. They dont actually care about that dog. All of a sudden, MMA fans care about canceling someone, when usually they're against it (example: Mike Perry saying the N word)

    I think If Alex Pereira wins this weekend he is one of the most accomplished fighters in the UFC but nowhere near greatest. I still think his rise to the top is kind of manufactured, the Izzy fight was clearly set up and intended to happen by the UFC, and If it weren't for Izzy I think a really good wrestler would have beat him a long time ago, he even got severely out grappled by Izzy and there is no telling what someone like Rob would've done to him if he got it to the ground.

    It’s really funny how you trash boxing because a MMA fighter beat the champ. But you don’t trash mma when a kickboxer comes and beats 3 champs.

      Well he was specialized in kickboxing so all he had to do was train tdd and bjj …. Different to an mma fighter going to a specialized sport

      Because mma is literally mixed martial arts… if you insane at something you can find a way to mix it in with other martial arts.

    • @phqbos115
      @phqbos115 ปีที่แล้ว

      the difference is an mma fighter going to a different sport is limiting his weapons while a boxer going to mma expands his arsenal which requires more skill to master. ngannou couldnt grapple kick or thai clinch in boxing and was limited but pereira had to learn grappling new clinching and expand his arsenal
