Just been re watching your Iceland trip today for the 3rd or 4th time and finishing up my itinerary/ bookings picking up tips infos advices from your Iceland 🇮🇸 videos… we are also living this Tuesday on the first Akureyri flight from London
We were dreaming of being able to go to Patagonia and Antarctica ( special bday for my husband too) with your group but oh well! I would love to do the exact same Borneo trip for sure ✔️ I can only dream of doing Uganda trip but it’s just so expensive!☹️

Karl - I always thought you should do a yearly tour to Bernese Oberland. One where you go (with Jamie now of course or if your mom ever wants to join like she used to with you in that area) every year, and with the right planning from Intrepid or any tour group, it could be staying in places that change each trip and/or year. Maybe Lauterbrunnen, Wengen, Murren, Grindelwald or other places. It could be all about hiking and then hanging out with everyone during the evening for campsite-type fire/food get-togethers. The options for activities and get-togethers are endless. It would give you a chance to visit your true place of passion. FYI I have been going to that area for 30 years now and have been back dozens of times. I went last year and am going for another two months this next summer. Let me know if you want me to look into it or coordintate/team lead something like that. I am a full-time travel person (no more work worries) so it is my thing. I would have liked to join your group in South America, but just did a similar trip earlier this year.
Yeah I'm torn about doing a tour there, would be amazing, but also the place is so personal to me, kinda like just having alone time / family time there

I love the idea of doing a hot air balloon ride in Africa but $500-600 sounds way more expensive than I expected. Looking at european balloon rides which are more like €200-300. But I guess the ability to safari from the ride makes it a premium experience.
Yeah that price tag isn’t determined by me or intrepid, just what they charge there for balloon rides 🤷♂️
