I remember thinking we would never get more of your music after In Situ. I'm so glad to be getting to experience this era of The River with Jenny and the more atmospheric, heartfelt approach that your music has taken.
It’s a shit business, isn’t it? You should be looking forwards, not twenty years back. With all due respect to those bands, playing with dyed in the wool metal acts probably did you no favours in the long run, however good they might have been. You deserve to be playing on much more varied bills. Hopefully, that will all come good with the next release.
@Randall Flag 100%, we definitely are looking to play more varied bills these days. I only mentioned those times as it was when we had a higher profile. We still would play those kinds of gigs, but also the more indie, alternative, folk side of things as well what ever comes our way. I think the music will travel.
It’s a design our bassist, Stephen, came up with years ago; it’s called a Rivergram. It doesn’t have any real symbolic meaning to it, beyond looking nice & being exclusively ours.
