Great video. I always wanted to do Dusky, but it looked too difficult and remote to do solo. Now I'm too old, but can live vicariously through You Tube.
Hiked the Dusky in march 1988. Started from West Arm (Lake Manapouri) to Dusky-sound, from Dusky-sound to Lake Hauroko, and from Lake Hauroko back to West Arm. Twelve days of hard, but rewarding tramping. Nice to see this vid, brings back great memories. Thanks for uploading !

This was definitely one of the more demanding treks I have done in NZ. It is very slow going and one need to be lucky with the weather. But you are rewarded with silence and a beautiful landscape.

It looks so beautiful but I don’t think I would survive trying to hike that trail . So I will watch your videos instead lol
