The belief that the conditioned thought we call "I" is real is the root of so much confusion. In reality, there is no separate self striving to reach something beyond. It’s all an illusion. What we truly are is not divided or incomplete. It’s the timeless essence in which all striving, all seeking, and all separation dissolve. Thank you Rupert for the clarity you have!
Stuck in a dream like reality our consciousness follows every thought. We can even witness it all happening, but there is no true awakening till love finds its place in our heart.
As an ancient story tells us: An eagle egg hatched by hen will walk around the chickens like normal chicken larger than average chicken. So long as it is not told that it is meant to fly high ... So is our separate self identity in dream or real world forgets its true nature.
your recent posts on 'perception' have really escalated my desire to explore my reality more. This lady's question was fantastic and your answer was executed brilliantly 🙏❤
Waking state is different from dream state, which is self-evident. What is the same, is the "material" from which both "worlds" are built, and the general "building process" involved . However, the building process in dream state goes without volition, whereas in waking state volition has very important role. Presence or absence of volition is presence or absence of Kamma. BTW, there is no Atman -> Anatman. What we're experiencing is a series of natural processes which cause each other without a beed for any Atman, or any "Consciousness at large", or any such thing.
It's only as long the ego persists there's a world out there as its object otherwise this hard and fast reality is exclusively a mental event in consciousness. The mind interpreting, perceiving and experiencing itself as a physical reality in time and space.
We all search it.. then question it when is is it. Is it confirmation that is needed to know. The use of words..speaking.. neglects it. Just silence is it.
Might I ask what would stop a nightly dream be connected to a more universal mind than our individual one? In my experience I haven’t seen a distinction between my own mind and a sort of larger inspirational mind that I am occasionally touched by in my dreams.
Dear Mr. Spira-How do you know dreams are a product of the finite mind alone? do you include the unconscious in the finite mine? Does anybody know how Rupert would answer this question?
i don't agree with the first statement of Rupert's interpretation that ''our dreams are just a product of our finite minds.'' but at the end of the conversation it seems that he changed his view, so what more can i say..?
Thank you! It seems to me in the waking state we have to experience the unity of this world based on its being, existence (everything in the waking world is mortal and finite). In the dreaming state we have to experience consciousness, and in the deep sleep state we have to experience bliss.
Hi Rupert, if "I am" is the highest truth why would "I am dreaming" be any less true? Also wouldn't "We are" be more true than "I am" since consciousness flows through everything and we understand that there are others around us?
The waking world is too a dream but A LONG dream and much organised as it is projected by the Hiranyagarbh..The chief architect or the universal consciousness. Only enlightenment brings an end to this long waking state dream. Anyway.. Rupert good to hear you !
Rupert I love you and I love what you're doing for all of us but some of these guests that completely in ego and yet they think they're walking around as enlightened beings it's ridiculous. We need to get back to basics on the Vedanta teachings. There's no separate self there's no S or little s! I think everybody really needs to go through all the lessons with swamiji in New York City. He's a great teacher of the basics of Advaita Vedanta.
Rupert, is this channel about non-duality or non-discussion? Silencing an account that hasn’t broken any rules feels more like non-openness than the boundless awareness you teach. Where did the boundary arise in a space meant to dissolve them? This happened on the video titled ‘Don’t Give Your Autonomy to a Spiritual Teacher’. Ironically, the act of silencing voices on a platform discussing autonomy and openness feels like a contradiction to the message being shared. If this decision reflects your awareness, it raises questions about how non-duality is being practiced here. And if it doesn’t reflect your knowledge, what does it say about the ‘non-dual’ moderators representing your teachings? Non-duality embraces all views as reflections of the same Reality. Silencing a voice-while leaving others free to comment-challenges the openness these teachings aspire to embody.
It’s only about the questions, as the answer is the inner intuitive experience that’s the alchemical gold process of self/other. We can only make each other think, learning is a personal process of self realization-reflection-growth.

Oh Rupert , I am in total resonance and clarity with what you said .immense love and gratitude for sharing this sweetheart ❤

So true, SOURCE communicates with us in so many ways--I usually get my messages through Dreams, Third Eye experiences, and Intuitive Feelings!!!!

I love this saying!
This conversation is everything! Thanks Rupert and the questioner
wow nice people watching it as i am and liking the video
your recent posts on 'perception' have really escalated my desire to explore my reality more. This lady's question was fantastic and your answer was executed brilliantly 🙏❤
Gratitude 🙏
The analogy of room to explain Atman and Paramatman is so logical and so scientific. Thank u for explaining so logically.
What a wonderful and touching talk. Thank you both.
Wow beautiful clarification which shows Rupert deep wisdom! Thank you Rpert❤🙏
From the standpoint there are no appearances. To Infinite Consciousness there is only Itself.
fantastic!
I guess it was Ananda Coomaraswamy who translated maya as art. I guess it avoids the negative sense of the word ilussion.
Lately I’ve been feeling like I’m in a dream state while awake. I don’t know why.
Same here ,it's really strange

Surely the infinite cannot even countenance that which is finite.

Who's individual mind?
Dear Mr. Spira-How do you know dreams are a product of the finite mind alone? do you include the unconscious in the finite mine? Does anybody know how Rupert would answer this question?
What about the so called 'siddhis', people who have developed the ability to somewhat manipulate the world of the mind?
i don't agree with the first statement of Rupert's interpretation that ''our dreams are just a product of our finite minds.''

Rupert also said TRUTH cannot be spoken!
Its all just experiences and that is all anything is. Call it the waking state, a dream or what you will. It is just experiences
Illusion (ignorance) is the perception of nonexistent and the non-perception of the Existent.

In my opinion, the waking state is separated, like all states, from happiness.
As in you’re suffering? Most folk are the same, I presume

I wish Rupert would stop talking questions.Haha
Why? (I hope you’re accepting questions 😊)
It’s only about the questions, as the answer is the inner intuitive experience that’s the alchemical gold process of self/other. We can only make each other think, learning is a personal process of self realization-reflection-growth.
