There will always be the armchair critics, ignore them, the first 2 series were fun to watch, I'm from South Africa we haven't watched long way up yet but we'll get hold of it and can't wait for long way home
Its great because you see people from around the world, and different cultures. If you watch the news you think everyone in the world is out to kill you! And riding motorcycles brings you closer to people and things as opposed any other vehicle I know. And I love there friendship and watching them overcome problems together!
It's not just the adventure or the motorcycles or even the kilometers travelled, it's he story of 2 friends with a passion and letting us follow their journey and the sum is greater than all of the parts by themsevleves. Sure, these "expeditions" are funded by sponsorships and other partners but still, how many would not drop everything to be a part of any of this?
And then read the books of Ted Simon (who Charlie and Ewan met in Mongolia) 'Jupiters Travel's' being the first book. Before youtube he circumnavigated the world TWICE. And he is not the only one. There are others who are neither writing books or making videos
This is a fantastic adventure, especially their support of UNICEF. I've been watching this again, and though I ride everyday, I live thru this adventure with them. Loved this
It kick started the whole ‘Adventure Touring’ thing for the masses……mind you I feel kinda smug that I was doing it before long way round, even if not quite as mega 😜😎👍
IMO the adventures had by Obi Wan and Chucky are in no way diminished by the team that was involved in producing and supporting the whole endeavour. Sure there's plenty of independent creator/adventurers doing incredible things all by themselves and they are certainly inspiring, their stories are often but not always interesting, compelling, and motivational. That said, it should be noted that in all cases the ability to set off on a motorcycle for any extended amount of time is made possible by good fortune!
@@Banditmanuk Fair enough mate, didn't have the right facilities to record my own voice over but did write the script. Sorry about that, I'll do better next time.

We can all do it with a large back up crew!

Although they did have a great back up support , so really they didn’t do it on their own

click bait, totally pointlles video, voice generated by AI
@@SfilmujMnie Voice might be AI but script wasn't unfortunately. Sorry you didn't enjoy aha
Mheee. not going to bother. It's only on a subscription only channel here which I have no interest in.
I'm a fan of the original Long Way Round series. I'm less of a fan of videos just rehashing their old footage and overlaying AI voice overs.
