- In February of 2023 two friends and I set out on the biggest adventure of our lives - riding off road motorcycles from LA to the southern tip of South America, riding one month per year until we get there. This film follows the first leg of our journey from LA to the border of Guatemala through Saguaro filled forests, deserted Baja coastlines and passes between 17000 ft mountains.
This film is a passion project created by Jonah Levine and myself. It's entirely self funded and we've put countless hours into making it a reality. If you liked the film it would mean the world to us if you shared it with someone you think would enjoy it :)
Film created by Jonah Levine and Danny McGee
Jonah Levine - / jonah_levine
Danny McGee - / mcgee
Featuring Jesse Evers, who’s navigation and mechanic skills made the trip possible

Best trip of my life with some of my best friends. Hope you have as much fun watching this film as Danny and I had making it 🤘🏼
bad ass trip dude
I have 2 travel my pillow pillows.. So comfortable and the roll up pillow cases are genius. Highly recommend them!
Freedom is essential ☠️
One of, if not the best, motorcycle adventure travel films I've seen in quite some time. Excellent cinematography and narration.
Thanks so much! We really appreciate it 🤘🏼
Then you will like these. Long Way Round (LWR) is a British television series and book documenting the 19,000-mile (31,000 km) journey of Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman from London to New York City on motorcycles. They travelled eastwards through Europe and Asia, flew to Alaska, and continued by road to New York. The series aired on Sky One from 18 October 2004 - 1 February 2005 and was repeated on BBC Two in 2008. The series was added to Apple TV+ on 18 September 2020, along with sequels Long Way Down (2007) and Long Way Up (2020).
Truly the sickest journey I've ever gotten to be part of...y'all did an incredible job, and it blows me away to see the story of the trip told like this 🖤🖤
Wouldn’t be possible without you 🙏🏽
Excellent film, beautiful views, best of all motivating to one day do that exactly that… simply adventure.
Few things just a few minutes in:
1) Kudos to you guys for just going for it! So many "adventure" motorcyclists get bogged down in the prep, you guys just str8up yolo'd it and I respect the shit out of it.
2) sponsor or not, I am thrilled your using/showing/celebrating the high quality safety gear provided by RevIt. As someone's who's been I'm the hospital for crashes twice I cannot stress the importance of good gear.
3) can't wait to watch the rest! Over an hour left, so I'm gonna shut up and enjoy!
Aww.. I wanna have friends like this 🖤
the world has a way ❤ stay open and you'll find em, i promise :)
That was the awesome part!
And the Oscar for best supporting actor goes to… The Pillow!!!!
1000% agree
So pumped TH-cam recommended your channel. Incredible work, dude!
Thanks man glad to have you onboard!
Just wanted to say this is one of the best adventures I have seen in a long time. It took me back to when I was in my young 20s (now mid 30s). I had a group of three best buddies who did many trips like this before TH-cam was really a place for high quality adventures. I wish had documented our adventures beyond a few grainy pictures because I have since lost my best friend and the other lives pretty far from me… I still go on big adventures each year and plan to never stop, but I go solo now. I miss my pack. If you ever want to go on an east coast adventure, I would be happy to be a guide. I am doing the NEBDR again soon, it’s a super cool Moto trip with some unique locations! Love your story telling and cinematography, keep it up!!
Thanks so much for the kind words man!! We really appreciate it. Enjoy the NEBDR, it looks awesome! I’d love to do it someday. I’m from CT actually and Jesse lives in NYC, we’re all there pretty frequently. He’s got a bike there but it’s an old Honda cx, not great for the trails haha
My kids loved the film and can’t wait for part 2!
So stoked you guys enjoyed! We can't wait to make part 2 🤙🏼
This is full scale movie level content.......thank you very much for taking me with you throughout your journey...
Thanks so much, it means a lot to us ✌🏼
Holy shit, I was in San Felipe and met you 3 changing that tire on the intersection at 1:27. I was on the GS and my buddy on a XR650. This movie is so sick!
whoa, small world!!!!! glad you enjoyed it :)
Haha no way! Thanks so much for watching 🤘🏼
One of the best videos I have seen...and I have seen lots! Hope the next 11 months fly past
Only 1 more year till I get to watch episode 2. Great film.
Yeeeewwwww! What a masterpiece! You guys did an amazing job putting this together. Truly a work of art
Thanks brother! Miss you dude
What an amazing video ! So glad you had a blast and that you showed the real Mexico. If you ever are in Mexico city and need any help. Don't hesitate to ask.
Thanks so much for watching man and for the offer, we'll keep that in mind! Looks like you have some epic stuff filmed too!
What an epic adventure! Beautifully captured and as always love your energy, perspectives and storytelling. So glad you guys popped in for a pit stop in Cabo and we got to enjoy some time underwater together. Much love and keep living high on life 🤙
Thanks so much man, it was so dope to meet you. Hope to see you somewhere soon ✌🏼
So epic, and beautifully shot mate! Sad I missed you guys in Cabo but happy you got to dive with my fam at Dive Ninja again! Can’t wait to see the next episode
Outstanding. Baja is absolutely stunning. I fell in love with the place 25 years ago. Many thanks for bringing back memories.
thanks so much, glad you enjoyed!
Awesome video, I can only imagine how many hours of cutting and editing you put into it. I can totally relate to the amazing experience you had. In 2018 I did a trip from LA to Antigua Guatemala, my home town, on a DRZ400. Speaking of Guatemala, if you haven´t done the second leg of your journey yet, don't get discouraged by ignorant people telling you it's too dangerous. I've been riding all over the country, and Central America for that matter, for the last 18 years, alone and with friends, and I haven't had one single incident. Prepare to be amazed. Looking forward to your next video.
bummed i have to wait a year for the next episode! Absolutely epic!!!!!
Hopefully we'll have it sooner :)
Epic adventure! Great job documenting everything. That volcano hike looked incredible.
Appreciate it man!
Dudes that was awesome footage can't wait for the next one
Thanks man!! Appreciate you watching 🤙🏼
Probably the best motorcycle adventure video on TH-cam. Phenomenal and looking forward to Part 2.
Thanks so much!
Damn we really appreciate that! Thanks for watching 🤙🏼
Hoh this is epic! Stumbled on your channel looking for a drone review and got a bonus movie length adventure bike video, gold! 😂
Watched it again just for the pillow
The pillows journey is just as important as ours
Fantastic video. Amazing adventure most people who ride only dream of. Congratulations guys!!
Really appreciate it!
GUYS! THIS FILM IS FUCKING INCREDIBLE! I'm 17 minutes in and I'm just at a loss of words. This is the best youtube video I've seen in recent memory.
Fuck it, I'M GOING RIDING TO MEXICO ASAP.
So stoked you liked it! It means a lot, thank you - but 100% send it down there haha
This is the best adventure riding video I have seen! Great job!
Thank you so much man, so stoked you enjoyed!
I’m thinking of doing a Mexico trip on my KLX300. This video is good inspiration.
Do it!! Thanks for watching 🤙🏼
I came acrossed this video by chance, and have never seen the channel before and This was one of those videos you expect to have millions of views, and to be surprised it doesn't. The time and effort that went into this video is crazy. It was discovery channel quality. I really enjoyed watching this video, and cant wait for more! I'm definitely following now!
Yep good things happen on motorcycle adventures. Enjoyed the vid. Thanks for sharing.
What a great adventure, in a great country. Mexico is the land of as many smiles as there are people. A great couple of bikes as well. Doing follow shots on another bike isn’t easy 😎🙌🏻 Looking forward to the next one
Thanks so much! Totally agree, nicest people ever. Hah yeah riding passenger backwards to get shots was a bit sketchy forsure!
Great video! I recognized so many places. Mexico is full of beautiful, kind and generous people!
It really is, we loved everyone in mexico! Thanks so much for watching
Wonderful filming of an epic journey. Star, star, star, star, star.
Appreciate it so much!
Wow boys. What a fantastic ride and film. Excellent work from a new fan in St. Louis. My favorite was after you having numerous issues you simply ride up on a remote motorcycle repair shop in the hills. I was once in the middle of nowhere Utah north of Vernal somewhere...stopped the V-Strom for a moment to take a pic and forgot to shut off the bike and my battery died. I thought, man, this might be a while...and under 30 seconds a truck rolled up on me and had jumpers. People are always the best part of any adventure.
God bless and keep up the good work.
Again... wow.
Hahah that's unreal, the people definitely are always the most memorable. Really appreciate the love on the film, cheers!
Loved this! Can't wait for part 2!
Outstanding job of storytelling. Thank you!
Thank you Danny, Jonah and Jesse for taking us along on your amazing adventure! I was honored to be a part of Jesse's first adventure when he set out on his first cross country ride in 2017 after graduating high school! Jesse and I talk frequently, and he keeps me updated on his world travels that usually include both of you too. Watching this movie made me proud of you all for your accomplishments and friendship. This movie is so well done, that I was having a hard time breathing right along with you as you climbed that mountain! And I found myself wanting to help with the tires and repairs as they happened! WELL DONE! I'm looking forward to part 2 of the Epic 3 Amigos adventures!!!
Larry! Glad you liked it, and thanks for following along :)))
I've heard so much about you Larry! So glad the CX wizard himself enjoyed it haha, I'm sure the repairs would have gone by 10x quicker if you'd have been there! Thanks so much for watching!
Wow!! that was the best movie i have ever seen. love everything you guys make but this was insane. i literally cant wait 2 more years 😢
you are the man! thanks so much dude, I'm stoked that you liked it so much
When you guys got the mezcal tasting after the crash, that was pure magic, things fell perfectly into place. Wabi Sabi
~your message at the end was solid, sometimes the obstacles are where the journey begins and though the unknown can be fearful sometimes we just gotta throw caution to the wind and live.
Yeah we absolutely couldn't believe it, life is wild! Appreciate that, thanks so much for watching
I absolutely loved watching this. Such great story telling, friendship, scenery, people, editing, music, all of it. Big big thumbs up!!! 👍 👍
Ayy thank you so much! 🤘🏼
I’m truly speechless. This film is hilarious, yet heartwarming and thought-provoking. You guys absolutely crushed every aspect of this❤️ Can’t wait for Part 2!!
Thanks Yakout! So glad you made it out for the premier
@@Mcgeee It was 10000% worth the 10 hours of driving!!

THAT WAS EPIC! WELL DONE !
Thanks so much man!
Exceptional !!!

Brilliant and amazing adventures you guys are having, and I love the movie. Good luck with the next leg of your journey.
Thank you!
Thanks so much man!
Now I’M bummed your trip is over and have major “post trip blues” and I was not even there, just here. Well done!
Haha thanks so much man!
@@jonahlevine you guys hit a nerve. Well done! We have to wait a year? Damn!
This is the most amazing adventure documentary I’ve ever seen. I laughed along with you guys and I might have shed a tear or two. Such incredible cinematography, storytelling, and energy. I wish I had friendship and a bond like what you guys have. Dreaming of adventures like this. Thank you for sharing with us. I can’t wait for the next one.

Great journey...!!! Greetings from Indonesia. 😊
Thanks for watching!
I have three friends all Eagle Scouts and we have many adventure rides under our belt but nothing compared to the way this story is told, it’s amazing. Truly impressed with the video and editing skills.
Thanks so much man! We really appreciate it. Jesse is an eagle scout too actually!
Really great filmmaking! I got back from 4 months on the Panamerican Highway just after you guys departed. You're going to love the rest to the ride down!
Thanks so much man! Thats incredible, hope you had the best time
Wow. I followed the on Instagram but this movie was such an amazing piece of art. I loved seeing you all in the raw moments where you do the most growth. Thank you for sharing this with the world.

The best travel video ever. Thanks for taking us back through the Mexico we fell in love with.
Wowzer, that was an Awesome Vid of your Ep[c Adventure. Looking forward to Part 2! Ride On!!!
Thanks so much man!
Great vid guys
There is so much motorcycle content online these days, but I have to say that 20min in, this is already exceptional. I need to get my friends to also buy DR’s…
Thanks so much dude, really appreciate that. DR’s are the shit haha 🤘🏼
The storytelling is just incredible on this, making anyone watching want to travel and explore the beauty of mexico. When is part 2 dropping? Already looking forward to it!
Thank you! Hopefully soon. It’s already filmed just need to dive into the editing now which honestly is the hard part haha
@@Mcgeee Yup i feel ya editing takes time. Can't wait for it!
Appreciate it!!
In 2014 a friend and I rode motorcycles from Wisconsin to Valparaiso, Chile. In Mexico we went through the Chihuahua Desert and Copper Canyon instead of Baja. But we did go to Mazatlan and then up in the mountains to Morelia and then to Oaxaca on the way to Guatemala. This video really brought back some great memories (and not so great: scenes of tire changes along roads and using ratchet straps to hold things together were a little PTSD inducing). Fantastic video. Can't wait to see the rest of your trip!
That sounds epic dude! The Copper canyon looked incredible, we were sorry to miss it. Someday! Thanks for watching man
Today I met the envy... What an incredible adventure in Mexico! Thanks for sharing your trip with amazing images, Viva Mexico !
Thanks so much man! Glad you liked it 🤘🏼
Congratulations on that trip, you made me experience the journey with you imagine myself doing the trip alongside. Keep on going Guatemala is not that bad, there's awesome people everywhere I think more than the bad. God bless you on your next trip!
Thanks man! We actually did Guatemala to panama a few months ago, it was so incredible. Guatemala was definitely our favorite!
Such a beautiful video and story telling! The pillow needs a redemption in Episode 2, I'm here for the pillow! You guys are great!
Hahah #hereforthepillow needs to trend
@@Mcgeee #hereforthepillow !! Time to spam peoples comments haha
Just watched it all the way through - looks like an amazing experience! There’s just something about rough travel and the crazy unique experiences it gives you. That volcano was no joke too! Great watch 🙌🏼
Really appreciate it man! Thanks so much for watching 🤙🏼
That was such a sick film ie The moto version of “Endless Summer”! Bruce Brown would be proud. Well done and keep it up! The TAT or the BDR’s would be a great next project
Thanks so much man! Yeah that'd be super epic, someday forsure!
Do not listen to the naysayers about it being dangerous. I've ridden from Phoenix to the Darien Gap twice (2021 and 2022) and all of the way to Ushuaia, Argentina to complete the entire Pan-American Highway. Sure, life can be dangerous, but overall, 99% of the people were like the ones in your video.
AN ABSOLUTE MUST WATCH!!
Great storytelling, beautiful scenery, humanitarian acts of kindness, friends that have true love for each other, and motorcycles.
Seriously guys, I feel blessed this came across my recommended videos. This is inspirational and so well done.
Thank you for all the hard work it took to bring this to reality
Wow man, this really means so much, can't thank you enough for the kind words and for watching! Stay tuned for part 2 this year!
@@jonahlevine im definitely looking forward to it
Nice video guy's! Can'y wait for the next one. Love to see people roaming the world on motorcycles. Just like the Dutch girl @itchyboots..
Loved every minute. Thank you 😊
Very good and entertaining. As a moto adventurist myself I found this very enlightening. Great photography as well
Thanks so much!
awesome video, I cant wait to see more. stay safe, be careful, have fun.
We did 2400 miles in Baja about two weeks after your trip, looks like we chewed some of the same dirt and tacos. I did come across an empty peanut butter jar in the desert near San Ignacio and thought it was odd lol! Great video, excellent editing, fantastic camera work. Looking forward to the next chapter.
Ahhhh so sick! You never know might have fallen out of our side bags haha
No way that's awesome! Baja was so damn fun, hope you had an epic time. Thanks so much for watching
So sick! I am so glad this popped up in my feed.
Thanks so much man!
Wow - this takes me back to when I travelled Australia in 1998 and southeast Asia in 2000. Amazing video full of emotion and stunning footage. Congrats to all three of you! It was a real pleasure to watch, thank you.
Thanks so much, really appreciate it. Must've been awesome to see those places less developed than they are now!
@@jonahlevine I did reach some quite remote areas such as Auki in the Malaita province of the Solomon Islands in the South Pacific where I was the only caucasian in the local area at the time! I will never forget it! I never travel the same area twice though so have no idea what it looks like in 2024 - I wouldn't want to spoil the memories.
What an adventure of a lifetime, enjoy it boys! Appreciate sharing these moments with us, cheers! 🍻
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks so much man!
What a crazy film!!! Absolutely killed it.
Thank you!

El mejor video que he visto de viajes de aventura, fotografía, guión, edición y sobre todo una historia con una gran reflexión final que por cierto comparto plenamente. Felicidades por este increíble trabajo!
Muchas gracias amigo!!
Hell yeah boys!!! Someone in San Felipe sure had a sweet Tenere…
HAHA yeah wish i coulda met the owner
Hahah must have been a really cool dude 😏
Great Movie! cheers from Chile
Incredible adventure. I didn't want it to end. Sweet people sharing the planet. I want seconds of the air tortillas and banana pillow, por favor. 🌮
I loved every second of the scenery, panning, and narration of your journey. Why can't we all just get along and share this big beautiful planet and feel free wherever your ride takes you. You all deserve awards for this! 💜
I have two sons, we all rode dirt bikes and street bikes and I know the things that can happen on long rides. Would not trade those memories for anything. But it was painful to watch you ride down to the beach (inexperinced and far from home) and I was mad (based on fear) that ya all thought you should climb a volcano unprepared and already in middle of a pretty big journey on bikes. I've really gotten hurt on my yz250r couple times from being to tired. I was literally mad that you guys continued to climb. Thought for sure something bad would happen. I am grateful you are all safe and I can't say I enjoyed your movie, but I couldn't turn it off either!
Great job. Can't wait to see more !
Epic gents! Know Baja well. Nice to see there is still some adventurers out there.
Appreciate it man, thanks for watching 🤙🏼
Should have more views 😍
Absolutely insane 🔥
Just insane
Great job on the trip and film. Amazing.
Thanks so much man, appreciate it!
