⚡ *Been a looong while since I've seen a video like this, and never with this many boards with 12S or more* 🤙🏼🤙🏼 The video we needed!! Dude those aerial shots 🤩 Appreciated the commentary man, makes it far more engagin and easy to watch.
Thanks brother!!! I wish I had more production value but the aerial shots are always great! One day I’ll have a show like top gear 😂 all based around PEV. Yeah I tried to talk and concentrate as much as possible 😂
So in theory the hurricane has more WH of power, but not by a lot, 701wh vs 752wh. How that translates to actually range is hard because of so many uncontrollable factors. Wind, road conditions, rider weight, speed of the ride etc. either one you’ll be very happy with. Personally the Atlas pro has a lot more accessories and customization than the hurricane, I have a video coming out that you can add another 1000wh battery back on top of the atlas pro giving you 50-60miles of range and than you can easily just take it off and ride it as a normal board if you don’t need all of that range. So subscribe and stay tuned!
@@DrewElia I have subscribed as of this morning! I am debating hard. I really like the wide/tubeless look of the tires on the meepo, and the less complicated board settings, but the brand Meepo is so ingrained in my psyche I want to get over it and be more open to better boards! I will watch more videos on the Atlas Pro today.
Was the Meepo the one with the most milage? It's possible I think that its battery could be a little worn compared to the other. As you mentioned it is a year old.
I thought the same thing at over 500 miles on it, but at only a year that really shouldn’t effect it! I honestly would say it’s because I wasn’t riding it as much as I used to! The past few months I have had to test out different style boards and test them, Plus I probably should have tighten down the king pin before hand but still it was a little wonky!
Have you had the chance to ride the bamboo hurricane? My weight is around yours and I was wondering the amount of flex on the board. So I've been going back and forth from the carbon and bamboo. Thanks!
Yes I have, the bamboo is nice, it has flex but a good amount that will be comfortable and give you great carve response as well! I love my carbon version but it’s hard to choose one over the other,
Cool video man! Subbed! RKP is imo much better for higher speed riding. DKP can do it, especially with experience and the right tuning, but watching how the board is reacting under your feet there’s a clear difference. Both have their place, along with channels, 3links, surf adapters, TKP etc. It’s all about finding what each rider likes the most for that particular ride.
Thanks so much!! Love your channel as well! I thought I was already subbed to it !! 😬 thank you for checking out the video! I agree with you, I always thought that DKP was a fantastic option and I still agree but once you start getting it k these high speed tests my skill level really needs to start taking over and I’m glad I can correct speed wobbles but it’s a clear difference when I hop on the UAV and it just is so stable under my feet. Mboards did the absolute right choice by putting in rip tide bushings cause it makes the WORLD of difference when it comes to comfort and stability! All trucks have their place in the world o couldn’t agree more! Thanks for checking out the video, I’ll see you at Esk8con?!
@@DrewElia Agreed man. We all find what setup we like the most, usually after a bunch of attempts and purchases haha. Split angle is a huge advantage and something that can even be applied to some DKP setups with a wedge. I’ve dewedged my flux deck on channels for instance and absolutely love that setup at 30front 20 rear. Love tweaking and tuning a setup. Booked and set for esk8con, for sure say hi. Last year was fun, this year is going to be EPIC!
So I wonder why you don't see more customer reviews from torque boards. I just purchased the street model. But still curious as to anyone's thoughts on it that's not affiliated with the company
I personally haven’t tried any of the torque board products, so I don’t comment on boards I haven’t tried but they are well known in the industry especially amongst the DIY community. They look like a lot of fun though!
Thanks so much for checking out the video! Chunder?! That’s a first! I think the telemetry helps people understand visually how fast and high I climb! Make sure to thumbs up the video and if you haven’t subscribed please do so!!! Appreciate you my man!!
NIce vid, really enjoyed the PoV . Kinda curious to see what this test would look like on urethanes, like run them all on madz and/or clouds. That UaV seems like a great platform for high speed stability w/ those 15" reverse split angle trucks. What would be an ideal length for maximum board stability, at some point it would be too long or too short. I'm riding a 38" (Zeus) , so a 46" deck would be less or more stable? I guess height would have to play a part, i'm 5'10 a 38" deck feels pretty good for my stance width.
Thanks so much for checking out the video, glad you enjoyed it! I would love to try a thane test but the two of these boards are gear drives that cant run street wheels and I think there would be clearance issues for the UAV on 105 wheels, you can run it on their Zoobomb 111 wheels. I am running the mad 105 on the Mboard endurance right now and I LOVE IT! I agree though i would love to try a street wheel test! Hoyts trucks are absolutely an massive advantage over any other truck system out there, they carve like DKP but have extreme stability at high speeds, that's the advantage over anyone else. If you dig the content and haven't yet make sure to subscribe to the channel and thumbs up the video! Lets me know that i'm doing something right haha!
@@DrewElia Hey dude, thanks for the response, I do like your content and quality, but if I'ma be real, I don't subscribe to any channels 'cus then I just see the same videos get recommended instead seeing random ones, so its not personal or I don't want to help, I just like to see variety of things. 👍
I don’t doubt it, I’ve hit 37mph on it since this video, but this was my second time ever on the board while I’ve had a lot of miles on the others. Totally chalking it up to inexperience on the board!
@@DrewElia I just got one this last week and am blown away by how fast it is. It felt a little more stable when I really cranked down the trucks in the back. Before that it was really unstable over 30. I wish the trucks were wider. Not saying the mboard is better overall, but it’s acceleration is. UAV looks way more stable in turns. Great video man! That test route looks fun.
Thanks my dude! Enjoy that board! It’s a definitely a beast! Definitely a fun test road wish it was a little smoother in some areas but it’s definitely a good run! Yeah the riptide bushing provide a lot of stability and maneuverability as well! The trucks are good, but yeah compared to the UAV which trucks are custom made it’s a different story! Thanks for checking out the video my man! Really appreciate the kind words!
You’re not gonna beat the more powerful setup in an uphill time trial via gearing one board for a higher top speed, flat ground sure it’d pass. Mboards does some tuning in vesctool with their boards that Hoyt doesn’t but the UAV is the more powerful board between the 2 if we’re talking stock, both being modifiable for more power, etc anyway.
Heck yeah UAV! Boutique ftw!
UAV was a performance monster definitely
niceee!! definitely fun 💯
