- A "tic attack" is when people with Tourette's have many tics for an extended period of time. I had a Tic Attack in the car today :( it sucked. It lasted for 1 hour.That was probably the worst one I’d ever had. I feel manic in them like I have to keep talking and processing everything going on. They're exhausting

Sometimes thats what it feels like for me. Anytime my tics are caused by any kind of nervous feeling thats what it feels like.

i agree, it’s very interesting to me. i love psychology so learning about these things is ‘cool’. like i just thinks it’s so intriguing to see what the brain is capable of. i’ve never seen or heard of this and i want to look into. to see triggers and things because it’s very.. different. she can speak about things like tell stories but her body is freaking out and she’s just calm. like it just overall seems very unique. i hate seeing her hurt herself, very beautiful girl:(💓

I basically love how strong you are through this. My best friend has tic attacks all the time, and literally cried when she did because people would stare at her. So, I came across your channel and showed her your videos, and she finally realized it’s nothing to be ashamed of or upset about when they happen. I really do appreciate you. I’ve had a tic attack before during school it wasn’t fun my wrists really hurt because I was hitting them against the tables and against my other wrist
Ugh I HATE having tic attacks at school. 1.) They're even more distressing because I'm in public 2.) There's not really a safe space to be in 3.) Its so so embarrassing and just makes it worse cuz I get anxious :(

Understand this very well, I pull my hair when my head shakes at the same time which doesn't help much. My son also has tics & the only way we can try and cope with them we give them names. Head shake is watching tennis at a rapid speed, when our arms tic we call them chicken wings, when our legs with the arms go its the chicken on a dance floor. This may sound stupid but it does work for us & when with friends they join in so we don't stand on our own & eventually the tics claim down. So understand all of this so a big hug from us tic club as my son calls it hehe

Ikr I have insomnia so I usually only actually go to sleep at 3:00am and wake up at 7:00am but in between those 4 hours I wake up multiple times then I have school it’s actual torture, I pray for all you insomniacs and just normal light sleepers.

Honestly for me tic attacks suck. I usually immediately fall because I’ll jump while shaking my head so I loose balance, then I’ll slam my head on the ground and also jerk it side to side so it gives me a ihorribke headache

fuzzy face she could get a surgery to stop most of her tics. Look up the worst case of Tourette in Australia it’s about a girl maybe about Claire’s age! She was VERY aggressive. Breaking walls,hitting others and herself, slamming her body into things, and more. Oh guys and even cussing out others. It’s a surgery where they put wires into your brain and a battery in your side you activate those wires and calm the ticks. I think the surgery is for Australia only and not specifically for Tourette’s but it worked in that video I mentioned. I’m just saying! You probably won’t get the surgery I’m just saying she could get that surgery and be able to drive I’m not trying to convince her or anything I’m just telling you

It can make you feel weird, but it's more often than not far from brought on by just having Anxiety...For the most part it is just a glitch, if you will, of how your brain is wired to work...Everyone is different as a person, sick or not, so we all should take that into account. 😎

When my best friend was first diagnosed with touretts she had tic attack in the middle of a shopping mall and her parents were somewhere else so me and my social anxieties freaked out and we ran to the bathroom and it took like an hour for our parents to find us so that was fun

everyone feels sorry for laughing, and i understand but it’s okay to laugh at some of the tics. My best friend has Tourette’s and we laugh at her tics all the time. obviously when it’s this severe it’s not always a laughing matter, but you don’t always have to feel bad for laughing.
A tic attack is awful and shouldn't be laughed at but mild tics can be funny and laughed at if you're good friends and they agree that it's ridiculous like I have a tic where I'll yell FUCK FUCK FUCK when i get upset or nervous and my best friend thinks it's mf funny XD
Joking about things like this can turn it into something much more positive and can help the person going through the tics (if they can laugh at themselves) as well as the people around them

If you have anxiety even if it’s very mild you brain sees tics and can set a tic off even if you don’t have a tic disorder.

I'm sorry you have this disorder. I've had health issues myself. I'm surgically induced Diabetic. I have severe depression disorder, and anxiety because of it. I couldn't imagine what it's like with Tourettes. :(

Tics can hurt but only if the tic itself is harmful. Tics like hitting yourself or closing your eyes really hard or rapid neck movement tend to hurt and you're usually emotionally drained at the end of bad tic days but smaller tics don't hurt
Claire you're so strong I am really bothered that you hit yourself, but that you're aware of it and that you find ways to calm yourself I don't have tourette's but I have severe PTSD and seizure disorder and I get really bad tics and studder a lot. After seizures are the worst besides my triggers from trauma. I love that you play uke and that is your goal to get home play uke and calm down. You're so loved and cared for, I just started watching your videos and I'm impressed by you charisma and you will to keep going. I love you Claire. 💟

I think it’s really incredible that you share your struggles with tourette’s with everyone on the internet. You don’t have to do that, but you chose to do that. I have a provisional tic disorder, and it may not be nearly as bad as Tourettes but I get how... exhausting it can be to have a tic attack.
Although my tic attacks only last for about a minute, it's still embarrassing (if it's in public and around people) and exhausting.
My tics also arent to the extent that others with Tourettes might be, but still going full out twitchy and trills draws eyes and is still something to learn to live with.
I really enjoy watching your channel. I can't find a lot of people who talk about their tics in real life and how it fits into their everyday life and how they address them, so thank you for sharing with us!
(I'm working on learning more about my disorder every day and trying to get a more professional opinion on it.)
