- Ugh so my tics were quite bad and I was going to a park to meet up with Oia. I kept yelling, obviously, and a lot of parents told me to stop and didn’t believe me when I said I had Tourette's :( So many parents haven't believed me when I explain I have Tourette's. And then later in the day I had a tic attack soooo that’s fun ...
Parents if you're watching this - be aware that a teen swearing in a "kinda weird way" is probably a tic. Think to yourself "do teens swear repeatedly while they're walking or sitting by themselves??" and instead of getting angry for them swearing, ask if they're ok. Ask if they need anything. Teens aren't trying to make your life hard. 🙄

Hello my name is Bahamut not really but that is the name i have chosen I've been recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder tipe 1 do not worry we all are a little messed up.
I'm a mom of 3. I have a 16 yr old, 9 yr old and 7 yr old. I completely agree about swearing. They are just words. I teach my kids that if they swear at school or some places, they will get in trouble. My younger 2 don't swear, but my 16 year old does.
I'm so sorry for all the stuck up parents in the world.

I totally agree with you with the swear words. Like, the kids are going to get exposed to it at some point and it’s not going to hurt them to know them. Instead of parents teaching their kids to NOT use them, how about they teach them HOW to use them. It would be much better that way. Like swearing is a thing that all humans do, it’s completely normal and parents are acting like it’s the most horrible thing in the world. We should have parents to teach kids that swear words are just words and that they shouldn’t say them directly to people. My grandma is like that and she’s like “nobody should swear, ever. It’s a very rude way to talk” yet she swears almost everyday. I swear all the fucking time and I’m 15. It’s not bad. I’ve been told countless times that I’m an extremely nice and genuine person(not trying brag). But yes, I totally agree with you on that subject.

i started watching your channel a few months ago and i really enjoy learning about tourettes and seeing your great personality!
these two sweet girls came to my starbucks today with their mom. most of the people in there realized these girls had tourettes and did not have a problem with it, including all our staff. Everything was fine really, bc they weren’t really bothering anyone and we all knew that they couldn’t just stop, but overall no one thought it was an issue and didn’t make a scene or stare at them. But the mom seemed angry and came over to all our customers and staff and lecturing us about it; she seemed very rude and condescending. She handed out cards saying that we were caught staring and that we should stop bc it’s rude and such. In reality we all understood beforehand that these girls couldn’t help it and it wasn’t a big deal to anyone in the store. I just don’t understand why their mom was trying to make everyone feel bad for staring when in reality none of us were. It was kinda weird bc the girls were super sweet and i wouldn’t mind them coming back but the mom was very upset. Anyone have an idea why?
