- Some of the worst times I have tics is on the subway. For some reason being in the small space with a lot of people sets me off. It's one of the reasons my Mom drives me to school everyday - she doesn't want me starting my day this way. This particular day I had to get myself to school. Fun times with Tourettes!

Molly Jean jack and Jill went up the hill to smoke some marajawana jack got high pulled up his fly and asked Jill if she wanna kill said yes pulled up her dress and had a little fun. But stupid Jill forgot the pill and now they have a son😂😂

happyxluv that’s like saying I want to get a leg amputated, having Tourettes can be exhausting and stressful. I don’t have them but I understand how hard it is to live with something so stressful. I have really bad anxiety to the point I pass out, I even got carpet burn because I passed out and tried to fight it, then fell back down and got carpet burn on my cheek and it was the first day of school, so people were staring.
That little "jellybean" tic is literally the cutest thing ever omg......

This is the first time you actually look sad and it breaks my heart.
You say somebody suggested every time you get on the subway you should tell everybody you have Tourettes ; that would exhausting and probably vain.
But since your mom drives you to school every day, maybe on the rare occasions you ride the sub you could wear a fun t-shirt ? Like, with a cute emoji or something and a line saying "Stop staring : Google Tourettes !" ?
Maybe that'd make people smile and make them search for themselves and then they'd feel stupid for staring and would behave in a more appropriate empathic way... I dunno. ^^
yea except Canada = snow so we wear big heavy coats on the subway.
Alex that’s what I was thinking. Like she could wear a shirt that said “I Have Tourette’s, Google It” something quick so people won’t struggle to read it as she’s walking away.

If you don't fancy the movies, don't go. You don't have to subject yourself to a couple of hours of torture. It's not giving in, it's cutting your cloth accordingly.
Sometimes you have to change the way your day goes.. maybe doing the movies will stress you out and cause a crap downward spiral? So opting out is a good thing in my eyes. Hope the rest of your day goes great. X

My moms says that she think tics are caused by stress or anxiety and that the person doing it could help it if they just calmed down. So, I’ve started ticcing, and sometimes your tics set me off but I watch to better educate myself, and this is what she told me. What should I do to change her narrow-minded opinion?
honestly that's what my counsellor thought at first too. And, yes, in times of anxiety they're worse, but they aren't CAUSED by stress/anxiety. Have her watch documentary's or even my channel. That's what my mom did in the beginning. She watched everything she could about Tics/Tourette's

Girl of Many Oddities I don’t have Tourette’s, but I think everyone without Tourette’s has had a minor tic sometime in their life. My sister doesn’t have Tourette’s either, but she used to always crack her knuckles and shake her hands. I’m just a twitchy person, so I’m always tapping my foot or shaking my leg, but it’s all out of anxiety
My tics get worse when I think about them, the more I get upset the worse they get
There is a comedian with tourettes syndrome and in one of his things he said he was sent to a "tourettes camp" which didnt help because it just sets everyone off. His tourettes arent verbal tourettes, he just jerks his head and winks

I’m partially deaf and I have hearing aids and I hate wearing my hair up in public because people stare or I’ve had the few “oh she’s deaf lol” by a few people who have walked behind me.😔 I need your confidence ❤️❤️

Girl of Many Oddities they literally tie your head down, my friend has tourettes but has also gotten tattoos. He'll feel the tic, tell the artist to stop and the start over. It's a long process, needs a lot of patience and some luck that it's not gonna be a bad tic day

I have tourettes, and they did nothing when i got a peircing maybe cuz it was cheap-

You seem like such a strong young woman don't let what other people think ever bother you the world can be full of ignorant people that are often scared by things they don't understand. I have tourettes and anxiety and OCD. It's not a good mix. If i twitch i have to keep doing it until it feels right. And doing it over and over again especially in front of people makes me anxious. Which sparks my tourettes because they get bad when im anxious. So its basically a triangle if poop.

Anyways, idk if you are gonna read this Claire, you are such a strong individual, going through Tourette in a world of people who don’t understand it is gonna be rough. I’m sure somedays are worse than others, but I can tell from your energy that there’s so much strength in you, enough to carry that heavy weight.
