superlancashire thanks for the comment and like. i never use keepnets. I always return my fish after resting them and nursing them meticulously in the water, head up stream with the oxygen flowing over there gills. keepnets can be damaging to fish, especially barbels dorsal. I was lucky to catch 2 fish at the same time hence the reason two fish were landed in the same net at once. both fish went back strong. I have concern about dying fish like you, but have never seen dead fish in abundance like you said. maybe its worth reporting it to the Environment Agency. thanks for watching mate

samsung s5 it was the Gregson's farm stretch about 400 yards downstream of bonsai. i heard bonsai is now closed. never got to fish it
