@@darthraider450 Actually, Apple will give you free cable (which doesn’t fit your earlier charger) to help you make your decision easier (buying a charger)
I hope iFixit will have authorised repair and parts here in the Philippines. A lot of people here still uses an old iphone since most of us cannot really afford to buy a newer models
Can you put me in touch with some wholesale buyers? I sell iphones for a living and I can sell them cheaper to you guys. Maybe you can earn a small profit per iPhone sold for connecting us
For activation lock you dont necessary need the previous owner's password. Just ask them to remove the device from their new iPhone and you will be fine.

Good video. Thanks for showing how Apple makes repair difficult. Special screws and parts programmed to the board. This is why supporting right to repair is important. There is currently no way to get parts from Apple and even using a genuine screen from another iphone will give you problems. Watch Louis Rossmann.
Now activation Lock can be bypassed. And the phone will work normally. I'm myself using a locked iPhone. I bought it thinking that it was ok. But the seller played to me. So I had only 2 options, lose all the money, or buy a bypass for €50. I bought the bypass and can tell the phone is working just fine.
I'd recommend laying down the screws in the order you took them out, in a vertical or horizontal line, as well as in the general relative position they were inside the phone. That way, when you put it back together, you just follow the line back to when you first started taking out the screws.
Hello, I am trying to get my iPhone 11 out of recovery mode. My dad dropped it and cracked the screen, when we replaced it we tried to get it out of recovery mode. Hello I was wondering if my phone can be fixed? I have an iPhone X and I bought it from one of my friends for $100 because it was pretty broken. He told me "it works, it just turns off by itself sometimes". When I first bought it nothing really happened until a few weeks later. After 2 months I left it charging and I came back to it being stuck on 0%. We went to a phone repair store and they said it was a "battery problem" obviously we said sure and paid the man $70 for him to change it. After he changed it, it was working for 1 hour until it immediately got back to 0%. Now to my question again. Is there another way of fixing it?

Apple should be able to put those non-genuine messages inside the operating system, but the iPhone should function normally regardless of the parts replaced.

I implore you to look into the requirements for the repair of a modern Samsung phone. While in the past they were significantly easier to repair at home, nowadays simple replacements like battery and screen are just as difficult, if not more so, than Iphones; additionally, the replacement parts are often significantly more expensive in recent years. You and I likely hold a similar view on right to repair issues and tech design in general, but boiling down that discussion to "x company good, y company bad" rather than addressing the core, profit-motivated issues that ALL companies are motivated to pursue, we won't get anywhere toward a solution.
Battery tabs are one example. Screen repairs on anything past a Galaxy S6 are brutal nowadays. On most of the modern ones, you're stuck with either an impossibly thin screen to firmly seal in place without bending the LCD, or you have to spring for a full frame repair - and that's after the backglass removal and complete disassembly. I hate Apple as much as the next Ifixit viewer, but at least I don't have to disassemble the entire phone to replace a screen.
And this is why right to repair is so important.
