I met a tall blond blue eyed guy from Poland in 1992 in Anchorage, Alaska. At that time he was working on a fish processing ship and it docked in Seward, AK for a short while and him and five other guys from Poland hitch hiked into Anchorage and defected and blended into American society.

I ran into him again years later and he would travel to Seattle, Washington ( state) and work on a fish processing ship there then return to Alaska for the off work season. He drove a black mustang car. He had a Polish name that was hard to pronounce so I just called him Jake. Lol.
