My advice from the airport and to the downtown vv, the best and wise way are by airport train, avoiding the traffic jam and the hectic of Jakarta. And also for travelling around Java, train are always the best chooice. All of the train in Indonesia with AC from the lowest class to the most expensive. You'll be paid with astonishing scenary along the way.
Literally you can choose simple option just go to skytrain in cgk airport and then go to airport train to go through center of Jakarta no drama and you can save more time

i would recommend taking Blue Bird Taxis from the airport. It is more convenient and super straightforward. Most of the time, the fare is pretty much the same with the online taxis. Sometimes cheaper.

When I was there, it was just a brick terminal, painted yellow. There were a few food and telephone shops, but to be honest, it was pretty 3rd world looking. The new one looks world class from what is shown here. Jakarta is an amazing place, with opulence living right next to poverty in balance, low crime. But, the traffic is never ending!!!
14 minutes to go before boarding and to take the time to go to a lounge is pretty risky.Changi Airport could really get busy particularly if one only has an hour between flights. LAX-Singapore-Manila was super stressful bc the train was off service at the time we travelled. Whew, we made it with extra calf exercises we benefited from! Safe travels!
Welcome to Jakarta ! At the airport you can actually took Blue Bird Taxi (which shared the same waiting spot as Gojek there). You can take a more premium cab like Silver Bird which is more expensive but usually the queue is way shorter. Hope that your car waiting experience did not ruin your first impression of Jakarta !
I don't know if it is the same product, but Maggi is a Swiss company. We had Maggi Wurz (liquid seasoning) when I was growing up in Germany, on rice dishes at home. Some years ago I found it in Tesco, in the 'world food' aisle of all places, and always have a bottle of it on the go. So next time you're in the UK, you'll know that you can get it from there.
Yesssss!! I remember we used to put the maggi yellow powder or some food when I was younger (that my German grandmother had - so that sounds about right) probably why I love it now!

I think I saw somewhere from Singapore airlines that they gonna stop serving using paper box and wooden spoons. They gonna revert to normal trays and metal spoons. Probably by the end of the year till the container out. Apparently people been complaining.

welcome to Indonesia! im sorry you had to go through the Gojek hell-waiting xD from my personal experience, i highly recommend you take a bluebird taxi the next time you go out from the airport! not only its relatively cheaper, it can also save you a lot of time! that being said, gojek/grab is still good for in-city travel, though! i wish you had a very good time here!

i would recommend taking Blue Bird Taxis from the airport. It is more convenient and super straightforward. Most of the time, the fare is pretty much the same with the online taxis. Sometimes cheaper.

I'm from Padang btw in West Sumatra province. In West Sumatra there are many places that can be visited, especially the nature, which is very impressive and beautiful and also the food!! Padang food is very well known throughout Indonesia. I'm waiting for you in Padang!

That is either a different airport, or a new one, to when I visited Jakarta in about 2016. It looks impressive!

It was SOOO big! Almost comical but also very cool
When I was there, it was just a brick terminal, painted yellow. There were a few food and telephone shops, but to be honest, it was pretty 3rd world looking. The new one looks world class from what is shown here. Jakarta is an amazing place, with opulence living right next to poverty in balance, low crime. But, the traffic is never ending!!!
14 minutes to go before boarding and to take the time to go to a lounge is pretty risky.Changi Airport could really get busy particularly if one only has an hour between flights. LAX-Singapore-Manila was super stressful bc the train was off service at the time we travelled. Whew, we made it with extra calf exercises we benefited from!

Welcome to Jakarta ! At the airport you can actually took Blue Bird Taxi (which shared the same waiting spot as Gojek there). You can take a more premium cab like Silver Bird which is more expensive but usually the queue is way shorter. Hope that your car waiting experience did not ruin your first impression of Jakarta !

I don't know if it is the same product, but Maggi is a Swiss company. We had Maggi Wurz (liquid seasoning) when I was growing up in Germany, on rice dishes at home.
Some years ago I found it in Tesco, in the 'world food' aisle of all places, and always have a bottle of it on the go. So next time you're in the UK, you'll know that you can get it from there.
Yesssss!! I remember we used to put the maggi yellow powder or some food when I was younger (that my German grandmother had - so that sounds about right) probably why I love it now!

Indonesia actually does not prioritize city tourism, but prioritizes its natural surroundings over its cities for vacations.
I think I saw somewhere from Singapore airlines that they gonna stop serving using paper box and wooden spoons. They gonna revert to normal trays and metal spoons. Probably by the end of the year till the container out. Apparently people been complaining.

from my personal experience, i highly recommend you take a bluebird taxi the next time you go out from the airport! not only its relatively cheaper, it can also save you a lot of time! that being said, gojek/grab is still good for in-city travel, though! i wish you had a very good time here!
