You have to hand it to these Pakistani manic mechanics. Their repair work on the truck chassis may be seen as pitifully crude. But those guys have the heart, the soul, the drive, and the expertise. They can take any truck that has been in an accident and looking like Godzilla’s chew toy, and have it roadworthy once again. Sure am glad they replaced all of the busted-up tires. The Pakistanis don’t have any of the high-tech bells and whistles as seen on such shows as OVERHAULED, but they do a mighty fine job with the inadequate resources at hand, and the trucks are repaired right on time and can be driven once again. That’s more important than anything else.

The complex, difficult work that these chaps undertake with relatively basic tools and in such awful working conditions never ceases to astonish me. There are no safety precautions, and nobody uses any personal protective equipment, yet they all seem to have a full complement of fingers, toes and eyes - amazing!
Perhaps you could explain why all the lorries have that extravagant decoration? Is it a religious thing, or just individual drivers personalising their vehicles?
