    Your videos convince me of two things: (1) it’s a great little saw; and (2) I can’t afford it lol

    I just got a new Stihl 500 i for $1611.36 with a regular 25" bar plus an extra chain. 2 year warranty. Just seen one on ebay sell for $1400 + shipping used for a year. That's some of the reason I bought it. It will hold it's value at least for a few years I think. Another reason I bought it was that it can pull a 36" bar because its 79.4 cc. I plan on cutting some big trees, especially the fat yard trees. The stihl 500 is lighter and more powerful than the husky 572. The 500 starts fairly easy and really runs plus it looks nice. With that being said my echo 590 and 620 cut nearly the same speed as the stihl 500 on 20" and under trees. Echo 590 $417 brand new 5 year warranty 20" bar. Echo 620p barely used $450 with 20" and 24" bar. I use the oregon pro cut chain on the echo's. I use a forester diamond grit file made for carbide but it does a really good job on regular chains also. Just some info that may help.

    It's smth like my 501sx(MM) pulling 20inch as long as chain is sharp it's good enough. Might be the one saw for me, love it.

    When a saw has a magnesium piston and is light weight I don’t envision a torque monster what I do see is a high production logging saw. One meant to limb and buck logs. Something meant to be carried all day and not wear your out. It’s a high revving saw that with a sharp chain is fantastic in the brush.

    Video idea for you. Take a Husqvarna and Stihl both with fresh air filters and do 10 cuts with both saws then show both air filters again. Big reason I run Husqvarna.

      Stihl filter setups SUCK. Husky has it downpat. So does echo

      @@EcSsAwS bullshit! I've cut over 100 cords in the past 10 years with my ms 290 farm boss. I've never cleaned the air filter or changed the spark plug. It runs just as strong as the day it was new.

      Stihl saws like the 362,400 and 462 have stihls version of the air tube to spin the fines out of the intake air just like air injection that husky has. Also husky wouldn’t have it without jonsred actually developing it and then they bought jred

    400 is a really cool saw, wondering if it’ll get fuel injection like it’s big brother 😎

      A 500i isn't a 400s brother, they have virtually nothing in common parts wise other than the fastners.

      @@fullthrottletimber8286 yes I am more than aware of how each saw is built haha. Just meaning up in the line up and being a newer model would not be suprised to see them injecting the 400’s fuel system

    where you at in the ATL area? Im South of ATL in Pike County. I have about 10 saws, almost all of them pro saws. It would be fun to connect and do some cutting together or just talk shop. I live on 5 acres of 90% hardwoods. I'm just now learning about porting. all of my saws have pipes but I intend to do porting in the near future. What's the best way to get ahold of you?

    • @christopherlehman4045
      @christopherlehman4045 ปีที่แล้ว

      Stock for stock they’re very close in oem saws, you either have work done to the clone or got a good runner because usually a 440 clone saw won’t run with an oem 044/440. Clones usually have a pretty loose squish band and rough transfer ports.
