Arceus waking up has that look that suggests he wasn’t expecting to be able to sleep, as if he snapped awake and was like ‘oh yeah, forgot I could do that’.
I guess he's never been relaxed enough to sleep, considering he keeps the very cosmos from falling apart at any given moment. But when he finally has a bit of time off he forgets he can sleep it all away.

Now THESE are very good and polished animations! I REALLY hope they keep this up in Scarlet and Violet
In fairness, these are this game's equivalent of pokemon amie/refresh animations(where you could also find your pokemon sleeping and wake them up), which largely avoided scrutiny and whose quality was pretty consistent relatively speaking.
Yeah I hope they add over world shiny and outbreaks at routes cause it fun when your bored

it's 4 time weak when attacked by ice type move. As far as i recall, sleeping or walking in the snow is not the same as getting punch or bite with a snow or ice.
They were more badass in the ancient times. Something must have happened, like with Gyarados. Look how you can find one flying. They must have been hit by thunders so much when being in the air that they stuck to be on the water.
Give geodude fresh water.

I don't appreciate how some Pokémon HAVE to continue floating when we've seen them on the floor before, like some avian Pokémon.
Really nice that all Pokémon have sleeping animations, though, as least.
I know there are _some_ real life birds that will sleep while flying. I guess Game Freak really liked that idea.

You got to admit the animation for Crobat is pretty dang funny despite the fact.
Some of them continue flying because they have either no legs or deformed legs.
This means that they can't stand and/or go on the ground easily.
So that explains why some of the flying pokemons don't go on the ground.

Decidueye and Samarott have different sleeping animations depending on if they are Flying or Swimming.
Same for other pokemon that can Fly or Swim but don't when you let them out on land.

Just sleeping animations, but still bursts with personality, especially Croagunk's with that butt itch.
Small things like that are what still made me love Pokemon and the titular creatures themselves.

The way Garchomp sleeps is exactly how my grandpa used to sleep like. He'd always have his mouth open and one time my brother put a small cupcake into his mouth and he began eating it while sleeping.

I like how you got each Pokémon in a specific location, like an area where each one might be found in the wild, or an area with significance to certain mons (ex. in front of the odd keystone for Spiritomb, or in front of Arezu for Purugly)
I honestly loved the Alolan Ninetails sleeping. She had her tails covering her and it looked like she was inside a cave. So cute~
The only negative part of its "waking up" animation (and it's extremely nitpicky and minor and doesn't detract from how adorable it is) is that A.Ninetails's tails all swivel around like the were all on a single shared ball joint. Almost makes it seem like it just has one extremely wide and floofy tail. Don't get me wrong, I still adore the animation and it's better than recycling K.Ninetails's animation.
