They fall but gradually. And floating Pokemon float over water. Interesting because Kyogre floats on land and swims in water. Really shows that they configured every Pokemon individually.

Well holy smokes. Look at all of those legendaries and mythical just roaming around. I notice that aside from Xerneas, Yvetal, and Zygarde. You can have Diance, Hoopa, and Volcanion in the game. Also Celebi not in the game either it seems. Though I now have a reason to bring my Zarude into the game. After I beat the game. I'm gonna bring all the legendaries I have from legends Arceus and Sword/Shield into Scarlet/Violet.
I know that with dexit some pokemon just didn't come back, but they at least could have continued including every gem's legendaries - not seeing my boy Yveltal in synchro makes me so sad
You think they would've done the national pokedex by now, but it makes sense for them not to, cause if they did, it would take for-EVER for this madness

Nope, all the animations used for this have been in the game since gen 7. Only new walk/run animations that needed to be made after that were either for newer pokemon, or the few pokemon that got new models and animations (i.e. charizard). There are even animations for pokemon not in the new games, like megas and primals This feature was less, development-intensive, and more, threw out a feature made using pieces they already had years ago.
They have the rigging for animation presumably, just need to worry about the models being up to date @@Sherok_Sama Or use previous models for newer animation rigging

Hm, on one hand I'm slightly disappointed that you can only synchro with your Raidon in their battle form, but on the other hand, given that you've been seeing their traversal form throughout the game and that it's their traversal form that you've been directly controlling, synchroing into their traversal form does feel a tad redundant so I can see why it's not implemented.
Press B button when you're standing and the pokemon will start walking instead of flying 😊

Having Origin Dialga walk through the air with its legs when normal Dialga doesn't is such a cool detail, because Origin is trying to mimic Arceus.
