  • Ride the Trinity Trails in Fort Worth. This ride starts near I-30 and Beach St and heads west to the Panther Island pavilion area. From there, it continues up the West Fork to the NAS-JRB (Carswell) area. Then back to Panther Island to ride up the Clear Fork to near Lake Benbrook. One-way, this ride is about 36 miles. If you come straight back - not going up the West Fork on the return - the total distance will be about 55 miles. This video was sped up 50% but the Garmin data in the video is real-time.

I lived in Fort Worth in the 1980's ran the trail all the time, parked off of University Dr. and ran down to the end at highway 183 and back,. Back then some old guy ran a riverboat palivalion & paddle boat rental off of University Dr. I'm not much of a cyclist I like running.

useful info for when I get over there to ride one of these days. Curious as to what type of bike are your using for that pavement and gravel. MTB, road, cyclo cross? Thanks

Hi Vince, I'm riding a mountain bike built for gravel riding. It has a CX wheel set with 45c tires but it doesn't require that wide of a tire. If you have a road bike you would want a wider tire for the gravel sections. Check out the popular Clement X'Plor MSO which I think is a 38c tire.
