Congrats! There's a lot of plain reaction videos around, and if there's personality those are fun aswell. And there are the vocal coach type reactions that analyze mostly the vocal aspect. But I haven't come across anyone else that does quite what you do, and you do it well. Keep at the good work and onwards to the next milestone.
i do follow you for a while now and i'm so happy for you to see your channel thrive.....you really are the best reactor out there..one that actually has some musical knowledge and understanding and an ear for all the small bits and pieces in songs and you do a great job to breaking those songs down..really love the vids and congrats to 10k :))
This may be an unpopular opinion, but I really appreciate that you don’t dive into lyrics. Lyrics tend to have a lot of personal interpretation imo; they mean what they mean to the one who wrote them, they mean whatever they mean to me, they mean whatever they mean to anyone else and those interpretations mesh on some counts and diverge on others. I’m far more interested in your technical commentary and what you pick up from the music, the composition and the presentation than in lyrical analysis. So thanks, and congrats on 10K! And for everyone insisting that you need to research Poet and the Pendulum before you react: No. No you don’t. I’ve been listening to Poet since its album came out; it rose to a top ten favorite pretty quick and has stayed there for over a decade, and it’s only in the last year or so I’ve seen Tuomas talking about it in an interview and found out his full story behind it. Certainly those details add layers to my appreciation of the song, but they’re absolutely not necessary for a first listen. But the Army™️tends to act like no one should listen to the song without studying the Word of Tuomas and the Full History of Nightwish beforehand. Which is a shame, because it’s an amazing composition and an amazing performance and I love seeing what reactors get from it without all that pre-conditioned pressure beforehand. Also: pineapple on pizza is great.
Just wanted to say that I really enjoy your channel and insight into the different songs. I’ve learned / heard different things about songs I’d listened to before as well as ones I’d never heard. Just keep doing what you’re doing and you’ll be at 20K before you know it. Appreciate that you took the time to do this today as well. Sorry to hear about your band mate ...I lost my best friend suddenly a few years back and why several Nightwish songs really resonate with me in regard to living life to the fullest, etc. You would be someone I’d love to have a pint with at a pub and just talk music ... cheers 🍻
genuinely the most insightful reaction channel out there! keep on pausing as much as you want, giving so much detail and having such an open mind about the kind of music you react to is really what sets you apart from other reactors imo. congrats on reaching this milestone!
Congrats on the milestone! I discovered your channel whilst on a Nightwish reaction marathon and you are a breath of fresh air! Subscribed straight away and been watching all other reactions ever since. Appreciating the quality music aspect analysis a lot and your good vibe in general. And please do as many pauses as you want, its what we are here for!
I love to learn from your reactions! However it is your character, polite manner and a really charming dialect that is easy to understand that really differentiate you from other reactors. All the best!
Congrats on 10k, and yeah, let's see 100k! Always enjoy your analysis and reactions. Keep that new stuff coming and those genres varied. Great job, sir!
10k subscribers in a month of posting reactions is mad and you deserve every single one of them. These reactions are so interesting and differ from others I've seen.
So so happy for all the growth you've seen. Can't wait to see what the future holds for you! You are bloody good at reacting and have a great personality!
Congrats...Enjoyed this, thank you. Hope I don't have to wait until 20 K for the next one. Being born and raised in Chicago, If you ever visit there, I wouldn't bring up the pineapple on PIZZA thing. Nice to know you were also a Deloris O' Riordan fan, they had fun with their music.
Been following your channel for a while now and I highly appreciate your analysis and reaction, it's very professional, honest, genuine, fun and respectful and you come off to me as someone who really knows and loves music. To me you seem so very knowledgeable and pick out things I've never heard in the songs you react to which I think is very impressive. In response to this vid, you definately have a personality, a very good one :) I actually got into Baby metal and Bandmaid because of you, I've mostly listened to Nightwish only but watching your reactions I found these two lovely bands that are now added to my playlist :) Big congrats to 10000 followers, you definately have earned this following, I very much enjoy these reactions you are putting out on TH-cam, I look forward to the reactions to come. Thanks so very much for the reactions done this far, take care now :)
To be honest, there are so many like Nightwish reaction channels on my subs that I don't even know. When you react to them, you add something that is worth listening. So, you keep on doing what you know the best. All the best and please, do enjoy what you are doing. It's what is is all about.
Congratulations on 10k subscribers. I'm fairly new to your channel discovering your channel through the Band Maid, Lovebites and Unlucky Morpheus reactions. I'll share the sentiments that a few people shared is i enjoy how you conduct your reactions by picking out and analysing elements here and there throughout the songs, it makes the videos quite interesting and enjoyable to watch. Again congrats on the 10k and here's hoping for more and wish you the best of luck on your channel
Ah I missed your community post, so here's my question. You have the opportunity to create an album and tour with four other musicians (and one producer for the album), past or present: who do you pick? Congrats again on 10k my friend, great job!
9:08 - Oooh, it's me! Thanks for answering that and look forward to the WTF?'s! You got mentioned on a Facebook Band-Maid fan site (Band Maid Fans Worldwide) as an exceptional reactor because of your great analysis of the band. They gave a link to your YT channel so look out for a flood of new subscribers! Loving the analysis and reaction as it's always informative. Always wonder if you finish editing a video and then replay the video without pauses and just watch and listen. Or add the song to a portable playlist for lots of further listening.
Thanks for answering my question :o) Oh, I am so glad you mentioned Clint Mansell... The soundtrack to The Fountain is one of the best I have ever heard (apart from evergreen classics like Ennio Morricone).
Right on! Congratulations! I appreciate your thoughtful analysis. Sometimes, I learn how to appreciate a song even more than I already did. Thanks! Now, c'mon... KING DIAMOND! I gotta hear your reaction to him. Live at the Fillmore. Sleepless Nights. Abigail, Welcome Home.
Thank you so much for your time, and congratulation for your success !!! I'm very glad to see that we have same taste about Band or Singers... ;) I think you're the only reactor that I follow ... Thanks to you I discover new band... (Excuse my poor english)... "Nice continuation to you"
well deserved, Chase, i highly appreciate your reactions and comments on songs because of the details you discover, usually you are able to point on something i never mentioned before in a song, which makes it even more enjoyable afterwards, so thank you for that but pinapple on pizza... i will blame your brother for that one
I said it on the earlier video today, but since this is the official 10k celebration, let me say congratulations again! Looking forward to many more. :)
It was nice getting to know you better through these questions and I'm looking forward to new videos. Also violin is indeed a great instrument....I'm not biased :)
what im most exited about is seeing finally some original musician work of yourself, with your abbility of analyzing and understanding music there has to be great stuff! so pls dont let me wait for much longer :-D
Congrats on 10K milestone! I am glad to have noticed your channel from the very beginning, since you are really good! I have two (less famous) suggestions for the next reactions: - Reliqa - Mr. Magic (th-cam.com/video/NHSNHHCFapA/w-d-xo.html) - Messgram - Omen (th-cam.com/video/lWXRPY0z0dg/w-d-xo.html) Also, if you ever want to dive into instrumental bands I would suggest Liquid Tension Experiment and God Is An Astronaut.
Gratz. I am a big fan of your channel as your in depth reviews are really great and informative. You have made me aware of many details of songs I have heard many times (and love) and refreshed my interest in the finer details of the song and talent of the musicians. I came for the Band Maid reactions but now enjoy all your reviews. Thank you
Congrats on the 10k again! I wanna say the "exhausting" comment was on Unleash the Archers - Awakening. Really excited to hear your reaction to their new single coming out this week! It's a direct equal to Apex and they use a bunch of synths and both Grant and Andrew are using 7 string guitars.
A HEARTY congratulations for hitting such a difficult milestone. Considering your comment about how long you've been meaning to create this channel, I can't imagine how surreal it must be to finally achieve this level of success (as if you'll stop there 😉). I'm sad to hear that you aren't involved in the industry formally, but this is an elegant means of applying your (frankly, robust) musical knowledge towards a group of people who value your insight. I personally am very grateful, and enjoy seeing your very genuine reactions, coupled with gleeful and laser-focused commentary. I actually had an idea that you may want to explore, if you're looking for a way to create more content, as well as delve deeper into the "meat" of the music. A good friend of mine, the French-Canadian Franciscan Friar, Guylain Prince, has a channel of his own (in French, though subtitled in English) where he devotes 1 full video solely to the initial reaction, just as you do. But the KEY that I think you would do a great job at, given your intellect and musical skill; is that he follows-up with a SECOND video, where he analyzes the *content* of the lyrics. This has created a supportive and insightful community dialogue, where people can share their own "translations" of the music, with direct citations, based on what they think the "intended meaning" might be. Given that you similarly cultivate a supportive, kind, and respectful YT community, I think you could do just as well as Guylain (though I caution you from watching any of his Nightwish videos, since they are ALL from the new album, Human :||: Nature, and I would HATE to spoil any of it for you. Perhaps look at his new Epica videos instead!) Still watching your Q&A, but I *REALLY* wanted to get these thoughts out. 😂
This is awesome!!! Thank you for this Appreciate the support and I think this is a fantastic idea. The revisit sounds awesome. I'll give his channel a look for sure and see what he is up to.
Absolutely, it's my pleasure! And I did want to add, I don't know how long it's been since the guitarist in your band passed away, but even if it's been many years, I do offer my sincerest condolences, grief is monumental, and sometimes (based on the project) it's best to put the brakes on something like an album (even indefinitely) when a bandmate passes away. I frequently assist people through situations like these in my work as a crisis hotline supervisor, so whether or not you struggle with being able to express yourself musically (though it does quite seem that this channel is helping with that!) I genuinely don't know, and I don't pretend to know your emotions on the topic, but I want to take some time to let you know, even when circumstances slam the door of possibility in our face; just because it was once closed, doesn't mean that we can't open it again in the future. To be honest, Guylain's model is one of my TOP favorites when it comes to reaction videos, because it's almost a collaborative body of work between the fans and the YT creator. I admittedly have ZERO clue about how much work goes into creating a single video for either of you, but perhaps as you come across PARTICULARLY impressive lyrical insight from the comment section, maybe an "addendum corner" could be added, to definitively answer questions that might have been posed in the initial video? For example: suppose you were to ask "who's that long-haired guy playing the synth for Nightwish? He's fantastic." When the comments respond overwhelmingly "Tuomas Holopainen, he's also the composer and lyricist for most of their music." Then you could incorporate that into the tail end of the video. I know it'd make your videos longer, and perhaps that's not something that you want to do (it's your channel, you're MORE than welcome to do as you wish!) But that's something that I haven't seen in other TH-camrs (and I follow A TON, it's like my entire recommendations bar 😂, thanks NW army 🤣) maybe that'd be up your alley?
Super interesting to hear about your job. And thank you for saying that. Yeah absolutely. Keen to explore that a little and see how I Can adapt and grow.
Congrats with this milestone! I discovered your channel yesterday and bingewatched all the reactions you did so far and I love them. I subscribed. And wait impatiently for the reactions that are still to come 😊 Especially to Nightwish 🤘🖤
Also, thanks for answering my question also grew up on Kiss and Beatles music. How old are you? You don't seem old enough for cassettes. Anxiously waiting for Poet and the Pendulum reaction!
Pineapple in pizza is okay? You have earned a lifetime viewer my friend! Ps. Would be cool to see your reaction on Poets of the fall - Carnival of rust.
Awesome channel. 10k is well deserved. I had forgotten how to listen to music. Thanks for reminding me. If you're looking for some 'international' metal try 36 Crazyfists from Alaska. By the way you are such a lefty saluting with your left hand - I'm the same :)
@@ChaseCarneson - If pineapple is ok, what about banana? Nutella? I have a pub/restaurant around the corner, they have a pear pizza on the menu, haven't tried it yet but I'm curious... Congrats to the 10k's. Cheers / B.
Herzlichen Glückwunsch to 10 K, Chase! For me the Music ist the most importand Part of a Song. My Englis is to bad to understand what there is singing. And i cant speak Japanisch. But the Music of a good Song is all i neen! Greetings from Germany
My first album was Alice Cooper Trash! I asked for it as a Christmas present and my parents actually got it for me (cassette of course). Still one of my faves! Thank God I wasn't speaking a lot of English back then 😂. Yes yes I was under 10 years old! Are you familiar with Alice, Chase? Ps I don't like pineapple, so I wouldn't want it on my pizza 😛 Congrats again for this milestone man!
I discovered a Welsh band called Skindred a few months ago. Check out Kill The Power, Rat Race, or That's My Jam. I'd love to hear your thoughts on these guys.
Loved the pineapple/pizza answer. I disagree, so I've decided to stop following you... JUST KIDDING! I won't ever stop following you. Love your reactions!!!! Thanks for the Q&A, Chase!
Congratulations and thank you for a great channel. I wanted to ask, if you have listened to a cappella music? I would like to hear your thoughts of Pentatonix (do you know them?) Hallelujah might be a good one to react, if you'd like to do it. (Sorry, my english isn't quite as eloquent as yours, but you probably understand.) PS. Were you born, when Master of puppets was released? I was sure, you were younger than me.
Your English is perfect, don't you worry about that. I am actually very familiar with them. They're awesome but would be fun to find one I haven't heard from them and do a reaction. I'd like that.
Chase, you GOTTA check out Ayreon " The day that the world breaks down" 11 A-list singers featured, many many other musicians featured, spanning several genres of great music. I don't want to spoil any if it, just know that you will know ALOT of them, and musically, it will wow the shit out if you.
If you do react to Babymetal Death - Legend 1997; the concert was for Su's 16th birthday and there was a theme for the concert which was embodied in the opening and closing numbers. You might want to watch the Night of 15 remix first. The Babymetal Avemarie is the whole opening with a lot of soundtrack. But it does bring context to Babymetal Death.
The very first question also mentioned sending your stuff to Brittney Slayes. Not sure if you picked up on the point, but she actually has done interviews with Reactors, and even filmed herself reacting to reactors. I sent you some links before of her doing just that--it's pretty funny. If it interests you, I suggest you ping her yourself on their site, and see if you can get a conversation going. She loves her fans!
September might be a good time to angle for, with their new album out. They might be very busy though, probably doing lots of promotion. Having new material to react to and/or discuss will be more interesting than falling back on older material that already has been dealt with online numerous times.
Congrats on your 10K, well deserved! You like The Cranberries. Have you already listened Bad Wolves version of Zombie? If not, react to that, please (please, please, please!)!
Man, I feel kinda bad now that I didn't ask a better question. I didn't think you'd answer, honestly. I'll come up with a better one for your next Q&A.
Congrats on the milestone! Well deserved. Your channel have quickly become one of my favorite reaction channels thanks to your insightful analysis and open mind approaching new music. I also appreciate that you give some love to some less talked about artists that perhaps don't get so many reactions otherwise. If I may I'd like to suggest some songs to react to from my home country Sweden: Opeth - Blackwater Park at Royal Albert Hall (th-cam.com/video/sdWB7-uL3fE/w-d-xo.html), Seinabo Sey - Hard Times, live at Vevo UK (th-cam.com/video/ErYJpIeeYPo/w-d-xo.html), and because it's kind of mindblowing, Wintergatan - Marble Machine (th-cam.com/video/IvUU8joBb1Q/w-d-xo.html).
many congratulations on the 10k. I won the bet. I said in your first nightwish reaction that you would reach them quickly. first because nightwish army helps.and of course your excellent work. I'm happy with the 10k to not give up. we love your work. as a suggestion. once upon a time in the west. link th-cam.com/video/Rxsg8TR_jRY/w-d-xo.html or th-cam.com/video/oZeOoAYyUag/w-d-xo.html among other options available. with the orchestra, or with scenes from the film, as it is part of the soundtrack to the film once upon a time in the west. I hope you like it. even if you don't make a video. now the portuguese version because she is a portuguese singer th-cam.com/video/G0oi1wP-qG4/w-d-xo.html she is a fado singer. world Heritage. as foreigners say, forgive me the rest is like singing and crying. which to recommend as an example of fado. I do not know how to choose but this singer is left. th-cam.com/video/2R-2JMhchfg/w-d-xo.html
Wait- Master of Puppets does not make you old. The first album I bought with my own money was Black Sabbath Paranoid. I think that makes me twice your age? Ugh. I am a New Yorker and worked in a pizza place - probably before you were born. I will therefore not dignify your pineapple response with further comment. It might be fine, but it ain't pizza.

Thanks for this awesome comment. Appreciate the support. On to the next milestone.
As a fellow left-handed guitarist i give you major respect. We should start taking over the right-handed guitarists
Let's do it!!!!!!

genuinely the most insightful reaction channel out there! keep on pausing as much as you want, giving so much detail and having such an open mind about the kind of music you react to is really what sets you apart from other reactors imo. congrats on reaching this milestone!
I appreciate that! Lots more to come, I promise.
Congrats on the milestone!

10k subscribers in a month of posting reactions is mad and you deserve every single one of them. These reactions are so interesting and differ from others I've seen.
Thanks for answering the question :) 10k is a Re-Marko-ble achievement.
Yeah, I'll never let you live that down. lol.
Congrats on 10k! Brought here by your break downs of songs, especially Nightwish.
I appreciate the support. Thank you.
So so happy for all the growth you've seen. Can't wait to see what the future holds for you! You are bloody good at reacting and have a great personality!
Gratz! Keep up the good work!
Good afternoon, Chase!
Congrats mate. Quite an accomplishment!
Congratulations! Well deserved.
Congrats on 10K Chase!
Thanks!!
😂I'll make sure to stick to deep dish regular.
Congratulations on 10K! I'm not surprised with your strong knowledge and excellent reactions.
In response to this vid, you definately have a personality, a very good one :)
I actually got into Baby metal and Bandmaid because of you, I've mostly listened to Nightwish only but watching your reactions I found these two lovely bands that are now added to my playlist :)
Big congrats to 10000 followers, you definately have earned this following, I very much enjoy these reactions you are putting out on TH-cam, I look forward to the reactions to come.
Well done, mate! Looking forward to new stuff in the future!

Great job. A pleasure listening to you as always.
Congratulations Chase! Love you take and explanation of the songs your react to. Keep up the good work! 🎉💕🤘
Congratulations!! You deserve it. Here's to the next 10K+!
Nice one, Damien!!!
Ah I missed your community post, so here's my question. You have the opportunity to create an album and tour with four other musicians (and one producer for the album), past or present: who do you pick?
Congrats again on 10k my friend, great job!

Well done little brother.
Congrats with this milestone! I discovered your channel yesterday and bingewatched all the reactions you did so far and I love them. I subscribed. And wait impatiently for the reactions that are still to come 😊 Especially to Nightwish 🤘🖤
Thank you so much!! Glad you enjoyed them. Lots more to come, especially more NIghtwish.
Awesome dude well done! Still waiting for a Arch Enemy with Angela Gossow on vocals.
Congrats on the 10k! Well deserved! 🤘🤘🤘
Thanks for answering my questions and attempting to pronounce my last name :D it's not an easy one.
I tried hahaha
Congrats for 10K subscribers.
Definitely, pineapple on pizza is alright!!
Also, thanks for answering my question also grew up on Kiss and Beatles music. How old are you? You don't seem old enough for cassettes. Anxiously waiting for Poet and the Pendulum reaction!
Haha, definitely old enough for cassettes. I can't wait either!!!
Well done mate.
The Cranberries!
Pineapple in pizza is okay? You have earned a lifetime viewer my friend!
Ps. Would be cool to see your reaction on Poets of the fall - Carnival of rust.
Thanks! So happy the left-right mystery is solved 🤗
Happy to help! 😂
Which one? KISS - War Machine 😅🤘 thx for all you do!
Appreciate you, bro!!! Bring on the 26th 😉. Also, might might have something nice from Polyphia coming out soon if that's you're kind of thing.
You know it ☺️ hopefully leads to some massive plini requests too!
Awesome channel. 10k is well deserved. I had forgotten how to listen to music. Thanks for reminding me. If you're looking for some 'international' metal try 36 Crazyfists from Alaska. By the way you are such a lefty saluting with your left hand - I'm the same :)
Haha lefty's for life. I know 36 quite well but would be good to do a review anyway.
your pzza/pineapple answer secured my subscription. ;)
😂🍍🍕
@@ChaseCarneson - If pineapple is ok, what about banana? Nutella?
I have a pub/restaurant around the corner, they have a pear pizza on the menu, haven't tried it yet but I'm curious...
Congrats to the 10k's. Cheers / B.
Herzlichen Glückwunsch to 10 K, Chase!
For me the Music ist the most importand Part of a Song. My Englis is to bad to understand what there is singing. And i cant speak Japanisch.
But the Music of a good Song is all i neen!
Greetings from Germany
How lucky you guys were sponsored by a tattoo shop, I don't hear that very often 😂
Thanks for answering and keep up the good work :)
Yeah, we had a few endorsements, tattoos, clothing and guitars so can't complain haha. Thanks for the question and support.
Congratulations. I wish You a lot of happy from this chanel and more subs.
Thank you so much 😀
Congrats from Hamburg
My first album was Alice Cooper Trash! I asked for it as a Christmas present and my parents actually got it for me (cassette of course). Still one of my faves! Thank God I wasn't speaking a lot of English back then 😂. Yes yes I was under 10 years old!
Are you familiar with Alice, Chase?
Ps I don't like pineapple, so I wouldn't want it on my pizza 😛
Congrats again for this milestone man!
10k Congratz !!! Thank you for answering my question too. Now I should not worry about what to recommend except for pineapple pizza :P
😂🍍🍕
I discovered a Welsh band called Skindred a few months ago. Check out Kill The Power, Rat Race, or That's My Jam. I'd love to hear your thoughts on these guys.
Oooh.... just thought of another one for your no doubt LOOOOONG list: Slash ft Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators - Driving Rain :)
Chase have you checked out Oceans of Slumber yet? Worth putting on the list! Most start with Winter and work their way up to the Banished Heart.
I actually have filmed one from them. Coming out soon so keep an eye out
Chase Carneson awesome! Looking forward to it.
Muse - Hoodoo 😍
Chase - Supplementary Question: Do you ever get mistaken for actor Martin Freeman from "The Office"? The likeness is strong! 😋 👍
Haha not yet, but there's still time!
Since you "messed around with cello a bit", you might want to react to 2Cellos. I suggest the concert in Pula, whatever you want from this show.
Great video. I hope You’ll do one at 20k. 🙂
Sure thing. I enjoyed this one.
MAD VIKING I agree!
But it does bring context to Babymetal Death.
you should look at doing a 'double take' after listening/watching several times and THEN give another reaction to some of the videos :)
I actually did take a look at one of those videos. It's definitely something o will do. Just creating the right opportunity and timing that's all.
@@ChaseCarneson Cool, I hope you connect with her!
September might be a good time to angle for, with their new album out. They might be very busy though, probably doing lots of promotion. Having new material to react to and/or discuss will be more interesting than falling back on older material that already has been dealt with online numerous times.
Canadian here. Love pineapple on pizza. Particularly on Hawai'in pizza. You look gorgeous in 10K!
Congrats on your 10K, well deserved!
You like The Cranberries. Have you already listened Bad Wolves version of Zombie? If not, react to that, please (please, please, please!)!
How about doing some Iron Maiden?
VERY GOOD IDEA!
@@ChaseCarneson yes please!🙌
Ohhh yessss...and Helloween is a must
Nice :)
Man, I feel kinda bad now that I didn't ask a better question. I didn't think you'd answer, honestly. I'll come up with a better one for your next Q&A.
A year from now it will be like, remember back when you just had 10k? :D
THIS!!!!!
Chase, 'I don't mind pineapple on pizza', me unsubscribe... Just joking! 😉 But if I am honest, I did think about it for a minute or two. 😜
I thought your ON t-shirt was designed like that. I feel daft now lol
Haha naaah that all my bad.
many congratulations on the 10k. I won the bet. I said in your first nightwish reaction that you would reach them quickly. first because nightwish army helps.and of course your excellent work. I'm happy with the 10k to not give up. we love your work. as a suggestion. once upon a time in the west. link th-cam.com/video/Rxsg8TR_jRY/w-d-xo.html
or
th-cam.com/video/oZeOoAYyUag/w-d-xo.html
among other options available. with the orchestra, or with scenes from the film, as it is part of the soundtrack to the film once upon a time in the west.
I hope you like it. even if you don't make a video.
now the portuguese version because she is a portuguese singer
th-cam.com/video/G0oi1wP-qG4/w-d-xo.html
she is a fado singer. world Heritage. as foreigners say, forgive me the rest is like singing and crying.
which to recommend as an example of fado. I do not know how to choose but this singer is left.

😂😂😂 I knew that one would divide the crowd haha.
I fear someone has stolen your hat.
