Thank you, I enjoyed the book and loved the fact that the lead woman did not act all weak and clueless like how most women are portraited in some books even when they have power
I am about 2 hours in, and I absolutely love this book, it stands out. The narrator is sublime, she really understands how to read in a pleasant way, without yelling or using screechy little girl voices. Can´t wait to hear more.
As a seeing impaired person, who suffers from migraines, interesting books with good narrators are life-savers, so I really appreciate this. Thank you

It’s a rule of thumb in the Marketable authoring world that. You have less than 40 seconds to hook your reader…you did it in under 10.

Val would snark at her face,then spend the rest of the book bitching about gods , while fantasising about her dragon. When she was not angsting about her mother, her daughter,her ex, her life, or the world in general.

This. One of the best audio books I have listened to 😍 and I really appreciate that it's free! I have a few auto-immune conditions so I suffer with chronic fatigue and nothing better than to escape into a great story when I don't have the energy to hold a book, never mind actually read one. Thanks very much for sharing this one. Btw can anyone recommended a good follow up? Most vampire stories seem to be soppy romance with a vampire theme 🙄
I can definitely recommend some excellent vampire books the best of which being The Vampire Lestat by Anne Rice

Usually I ignore audio books - this one got past 3 minutes - I'm gonna listen to it all.

i was looking for another audiobook to listen to after finishing a different series from another author. I like this one so far, it’s been hard finding one with a narrator whose voice is easy to listen to and they don’t sound like they are reading lol

Book seems good so far( still near the start) BUT the narrator reminds me of Vivian ( delaney??? Forget surname). A brilliantly talented voice actress.

This was addicting. Wish i had time to listen to it in one go! Only thing that bothered me was when she said she didnt know any phone numbers except the shop so she called there and asked to talk to nick but then she gets mad mid convo and it says she looks down to his name on her phone screen... but it shouldnt be on there right?! 🤣

As for the name change - the previous surname was my ex-husbands, and now that I have kids, it was important to for the name on my books to reflect who I am now. It's kind of hard to explain, but I HAD to do it - for myself, if that makes sense. As for the "writing as blah blah blah" under my new name, it's industry standard to include the previously published as pen name for a lot of boring and complicated reasons. Haha.

LOVED this book! I had to get on a waitlist with my library to get the next couple in this series.
While waiting I decided to check out the Echo series. Once I realized they were in the same world I was thrilled.
I just finished the Echo series and had to come back to listen again, so I could get them in the right order 😁 Also since I now had quite a bit of background info I hadn't previously had.
Are there any other series connected to these? You're a phenomenal author and Dana Dae's narration on the Echo series was perfection 💚
