- The The Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi was inaugurated on 3rd July 2010. IGI T3 is spread over 20 acres with lower floor being the arrival and the upper floor being the departure area. This terminal has 168 check-in counters, 78 aerobridges at 48 contact stands, 54 parking bays, 95 immigration counters, 15 X-ray screening areas, for less waiting times, duty-free shops etc. IGI Airport T3 is a very well maintained, neat and clean airport. Delhi Airport is the busiest one in India in terms of passenger traffic and cargo.

No, it's for international passengers only. Domestic Travellers can also buy everything except alcohol.

I will be connecting from international to domestic in terminal 3. The layover time is only 2 hours 50 minutes. Will I be able to clear immigration, baggage claim, domestic check-in and dropping the baggage and walking to the gate?
You should be able to do that. Make sure to download digi yatra app and use it to jump queues.

There are options to rest, check from the information desk available at airport.

If we have a connecting flight, shall we collect the baggage after first route journey is completed and then deposit our luggage again for the next flight? Or it will be done automatically till our final destination?
If flight is from the same operator then I dont think you need to do it. Better would be to check from the boarding pass counter before you take your first flight. Have a safe and happy journey.

You can stay at hotels in Aerocity which is close to airport. It's like 5 mins drive from airport. Currently hotels must be giving attractive discounts too. You take take taxi from outside airport prepaid taxi booth. Hotel also provides taxis to reach airport. Have a safe and happy journey. Wear your mask.

Very well made video. I do have an internationL arrival by Air India in Delhi airport and have same air india connecting flight to Hyderabad. So do I have to pick my luggage and check in again in Delhi or just have to go to my gate for connecting flight. Will there be security check for going to another gate too ?

Igi airport terminal 3 Mai domestic arrival se domestic departure Mai Jane k liya kitna time lagta hai ,50 min k gap Mai flight pakar sakta hai Kaya dono flight air India ka hai or terminal same hai koi check in baggage nehi hai.or first flight se utarne k bad Kya Kya karna hoga or kaise pouche, reply pls.
Easily ja sakte hai. Flight ke staff ko aap bata dena ki aapki connectinf flight hai to wo sara arrange kar denge else airport ke bahar se taxi bhi le sakte hai. Hardy 10 minutes lagenge travelling time. But airlort se bahar nikalne ka air phir wapas dosre airport may jake security check may time lag sakta hai. Airport may staff ko zaroor bole ki help karne to jaldi ho jayega.

Hii, I am traveling Kuwait to bhubaneswar in Feb 26 2020 and i booked ticket on indigo flight. My flight arrived on T3 and my bhubaneswar flight depart from T3. Can u tell me that how can i go to domestic departure after immigration.
There would be an assistance provided to you for it at airport, so internally you can be shifted from T3 to Indigo (indido flies from domestic airport either Terminal 1D or T2 it must be mentioned in your ticket) while deborsing the flight inform the airine staff for airport teansfer. Honestly, it's just huge, most of the parts are plain & ordinary... Only brands section & that Mudras on wall are captivating... Otherwise there's nothing to see....just a huge building with good lighting.

Nahi ayse ghoomne nahi ja sakte. Ticket hona zaroori hai, ya phir kuch airport sirf visiting area tak jane dete hai agar aap kisi ko see off karne ja rahe hai. Ghoomna allowed nahi hai yaha.

Hi Prakhar, do you also know whether there is any internal way to reach from domestic arrival luggage collection place of T3 terminal to international departure T3 check in airlines counters. My flight will reach to Delhi from Kolkata by Vistara then I need to collect my luggage and then I need to go to international departure section for boardin pass and chekin luggage in international carrier. I am looking for this information how to go from domestic arrival section to international departure section without getting out from the airport.
Hey Tanushree, you can move internally after collecting the luggage without going out too. At the time of deboarding just inform the airport staff or airline staff they shoukd be able to guide you. You have to keep your tickets handy. Have a safe flight.

U can park ur car in parking area and go to receive him at arrival section. Andar jane nahi milega bus gate tak ja sakte ho. Airport me gate ke pass ya road pe u can not park ur car and wait. So jab wo bahar aa jaye, to pillar number pooch lena aur waha se jakar pick kar lena that would be easier.

I have my journey on coming month and connecting flight from Calicut to Toronto and after arriving Terminal 3,next we have to go for security check 7hrs lay over so for international departure 3hrs before boarding will start?

Air India flights are via Terminal 3. The process is same, make sure you do web check-in to skip the process of taking boarding pass.
Now I m in Saudi Arabia. Arival area uff... I see this place I don't saying word in my voice but my country is my country. Last time I came in 2018. I was very happy. Today I see this video I feel sad

Agar koi international travel karke ata hein baggage collect karne ke bad agar unki koi seperate domestic flight book ho to kya vo apne domestic departure gate ke pass ja sakte hein directly ya unko firse security check karana padega? Your answer will be really helpful. Thanks Mr. sahay
Glad you watched anr liked the video. There is a provision, if you have a connecting flight from International to Domestic of same airline then the airline would provide direct transfer to connecting airport, luggage can be directly transferred to next flight if airline is same. Else one can opt to go by themselves. In my experience security check phir se hoga. Hope this helps but please do check with the airlines too.

Aapne jaha se ticket lia hai shayad wahi se cancel hoga ticket. Normally agar connecting flight same airline ka hai to they will take care of your connecting flight. Best is to speak to the customer care of service provider. Luggage ka wahi bata denge ki final destination me milega luggage ya phir pehle international se luggage laker phir domestic jana hoga.
