@@2LegobossFirst movie for sure. He was one of my favourite characters there. In the third, I was sad to see him go. He didn't deserve the fate he got.
I’ve only gotten into the PotC series lately, so I missed out on the sets (and they’re now crazy expensive). I’m praying that this Fortnite event is teasing a new line of sets. You can see an obvious improvements in the figures (although I think Barbossa’s old face looks better), and I doubt they’d go that far just for a game. Maybe this time we’ll get figures of Pintel and Ragetti, who somehow didn’t get them originally.
There have been no molds for characters that already exist in Lego Fortnite … unfortunately this is just from the Fortnite design team and not Lego and doesn’t mean a thing (look at TMNT, and a bunch of other themes)
I had all PotC sets from 2011 (except the black pearl) but sold them all two years ago. I kinda regret that.. 😅 Since there will be a new pirates movie in the upcoming years they will likely reboot the theme by making new sets based on the original movies like they did with Harry Potter, when Fantastic Beasts released in 2018. I really hope so because i love the movies and those new minifigs look incredible!! 🤩
My biggest regret in life is never getting any of those sets. Always picked some Star Wars or Harry Potter ones over them when my mum made me choose. But I looked at those sets constantly. They were so cool. The game was amazing as well
If they come out with a new Davy Jones minifig I will buy it before I want it and it will arrive before I buy it (basically saying, I will buy it in a heartbeat)
I'm sincerely hoping this is hinting at a new wave of updated and expanded PotC sets or possibly even an 18+ UCS styled Black Pearl which would be so damn cool

Just because these are in a video game, doesnt mean we are getting physical Lego sets. They can easily design new figures digitally. These are not "new molds".
With two new PoTC movies in production, it would make a lot of sense for Lego to release a classic movie set or two like they've done with Jurassic Park and the new Jurassic World movies. It makes too much sense especially with the popularity of classic Pirates Lego sets

My main complaint about the Elizabeth minifig is that the shoulder belt has a misprint I think, the bottom part of it is red like her vest underneath instead of brown like the rest of the belt.

I also thought that since there were Pirates of the Caribbean minifigure skins added Lego must still had retained or even updated their licence, but then remembered that Fortnite released Lego versions of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, for which Lego definitely does not, so I don’t think them releasing the POTC skins is any indication of the reboot of the theme

Lego has this stupid business model where they only make sets if something is relevant in TV, Movies, or Video games despite fan outcry. reason Harry Potter got rebooted was the cursed child play and later Hogwarts Legacy/ news of a new series. and DC despite having 80+ years of comics they could base sets on keeps getting fisted because Warner Bros have no idea wtf they want to do with DC and their Characters. Yea just mentioned this myself. We have had TMNT, Avatar and now Pirates in Fortnitr with Lego figures. To say its back is misleading at best.

yeah we aint getting new sets unless new movies come to make it relevant again. just putting them in fortnite doesn’t mean anything. i think the best we can realistically hope for a fortnite cmf series that includes pirates of the Caribbean characters

Lego has this stupid business model where they only make sets if something is relevant in TV, Movies, or Video games despite fan outcry. reason Harry Potter got rebooted was the cursed child play and later Hogwarts Legacy/ news of a new series. and DC despite having 80+ years of comics they could base sets on keeps getting fisted because Warner Bros have no idea wtf they want to do with DC and their Characters.
(shit, part of me thinks the only reason we got a BTAS set was because Kevin Conroy & Arleen Sorkin passed away and they ran out of ideas)
also this isn't to say "grr I hated the video and your wrong" It's to say based on their history it's unlikely but when i see titles like yours I get stupid excited because it's rare they make sets for no reason with an IP.
