Being a domestic Abuse victim can be life changing for the victims and not in the nice way. We always work hard and tirelessly to bring positive change to people's life who have seen enormous amount of hardships in their lives.
The journey of a Domestic Abuse victim has come to an end from an Immigration point of view as he has been granted Indefinite Leave to Remain by the Home Office. He has now become a permanent resident of the UK society, he has many rights and a stable life ahead of him. He has contributed to the UK society as a whole in many different ways and now he has become permanent citizen of the United Kingdom, champion of human rights!
Settlement allows the holder to live in the UK permanently and the holder receives a BRP card. He can travel in and out of the UK as he pleases and has the right to work, right to accommodation, healthcare and much more.

Hello Sir, I am a victim of domestic violence. In January 2024 GP called the Police but I withdrew my complaint. In August my husband called the police and gave false complaint but after 3 days he was arrested and bail out.
Now in refuge, when we requested for police statement to apply ILR, police has sent statement which my husband complaint against me saying I am the suspect and he's the victim.
I am really confused, will this effect my ILR? Could you please let me know what should I do?

Hi, if a dependent wife of an student visa husband made allegations and wife has been allowed to stay in uk , I understand her dependent visa would be cancelled since she made allegations on the partner then what category of visa/leave to remain has been granted for her for staying in uk. Please help me on this query
If you don’t want the marriage again, quietly go back to your country. Why coming with him when you know that he abuses you. You people should be reasonable, stop biting fingers that feeds you
But she is on skill visa
You are incentivising and facilitating people to make false allegations of domestic abuse, in order to fast track their ILR. Innocent UK citizens are being criminalised by this practice. The legal system and domestic violence laws was designed for genuine cases, not for unscrupulous people to abuse the immigration and domestic violence laws. Mere allegations are enough to start a process which is destroying innocent peoples lives.
DV is real and kicking in the UK.
