For example, in the #OilPainting that I do to order, I use 9 permanent colors + 3 additional ones. For example, I always have a color on my palette called Turkish Turquoise :D

Really lovely painting. I’m working on creating a van Gogh style painting to teach in a class and I’m trying to simplify as much as possible. This helps me understand the color layering. I haven’t painted in a little while so I’m a little nervous about the instruction portion of it. I also like how you let that orange base pop through in certain areas. It really gives it a nice feel.

I really enjoyed watching the process, sincerely. I've just been reviewing and reading up on Van Gogh's own processes and history, so it was especially appreciated. But if I may offer just a bit of some (hopefully helpful) suggestion of the videography (I'm certainly no expert for sure)... if you can, remember to turn off the auto focus and auto exposure once you get homed in on your canvas, if your device allows for those at the same time. For several minutes each time your hand passed by the camera's lens sensor, it went blurry, sharp, blurry, sharp...beginning around 9:54 for a couple of minutes (maybe you detected that yourself); then after that seemed to be resolved, the exposure appeared to oscillate between bright and flat... most noticeably on the first couple of trees on the left. That could have been from your hand/arm passing between your lighting source and the canvas, and the auto exposure trying to adjust for the changing light. Just a friendly suggestion. But I really mean it when I say It was very inspiring overall, as I'm trying to head towards learning some impasto techniques. Thank you.

Hey Scott. Thanks for the advice! The funny thing is that I knew about it, but this video is my first and I was just so worried that I forgot to do it. • @Alex_Teal

Hey, yes, of course, but the main secret is to have enough impressions. I mean, it would be better to watch 10 videos to paint 1 picture, because watching the artistic process helps the brain to create neural networks and it helps to you to paint.
