Try shifting the banshee before it tops out. They tend to pull really hard in the midrange. Not sure exactly how yours is setup but it always worked on mine.
I've had or run them all through my life. I've seen a bunch of Banshees lose races that they should have won easily. I've even seen a tecate' three smoke quadzilla like it wasn't a competition! My quadracer 250 blew away a Banshee with me on it but got owned when I rode the same Banshee against it. My comment was due to personal experience, not just talking smack.

I brought my dad's 250r back to life after 25 years, had it running like a champ, learned how to barrel roll it then it sized because I ran 1-8 e85 and 10-w40 and a dust mask taped to the carburetor as an airfilter

I need to get a quad asap haven't owned one since I was 16 (1994). I believe it was an 87 or 89 blaster. Lite bolt on mods, intake filter, DG type 2 pipe I believe. Don't know if it was the bike or my racing ability, but I damn near smoked everything I went against (on our home made tracks and hill climbs). The only straight up drag race I ever raced was against my older cousins Honda 3 wheeler. 83-84 200? Or did they have a 250x? I smoked him every time so I don't think it was a 250R, even stock it rips I'm sure. Was red white and blue.

That actually happened to my great uncle... he was out riding one day during the winter and his chain came off of the sprocket and he had to put it back on and his bike slipped out of gear and cut his thumb off but he didnt know until he got home that night because it was so cold he didnt feel it... his finger came off with his glove

I’ve owned about everything from Tri z , 200x , Banshee , you name it , a 250r is one 3 wheeler I have always wanted , and I have raced a many of them . 250r a Banshee don’t have a chance again a 250r . That 250r was built to haul ass ! I’ve had one that would smoke it off the line until the power band kicks in and that motor comes flat out alive . I built a hell of a 350x that was something to respect and it was supper fast , still no match against the power band ! One day , some day I’ll own one ! I have to say the 2 I respect is the 250r and it’s tween the 350x . Wonderful job guy , you can add 4 muffler on the Banshee and it just can’t catch it !

@@TimeMachinesATVs You said it's a 1986 and I just noticed the rear brake caliper link arm when the mullet had the fake hand stuck in the chain and that's a 1985 brake setup and the 86 doesn't use that brake link. Not that it matters but one of the few differences between 85 and 86 if you're buying parts.

I knew the “310” 250R would walk that Banshee!!! My old boss had a stock 250R, and would beat the manager’s Quadzilla 500 until they got to the top end, then then the 500 would slowly catch it. Off the line short races weren’t even close, the lighter 250R would win every time. The 500 couldn’t get enough traction to make it close.

Shit it’s just not working🤦🏼♂️ I know my lash is good for my valve clearance. So do you have any ideas?? I know the fuel’s good, I know the fuel in the bowl of the carb is good, I checked all my bases so good spark and everything so I don’t know🤷🏼♂️

Make sure you get that front end aligned on the 310R before you go for that top speed run. I heard they ride smoother when they're toed in.

Hey, i have a question for you. I am doing the pancake pusher/bearing upgrade on my banshee and wondering why it comes with 2 pieces of threaded rod? which one am i supposed to use as one is a little longer? thanks for any help appreciate it

@@TimeMachinesATVs let’s get up in there! My 450 was rebuilt With high compression flat top piston titanium valves. I went to adjust the valves and timing is good. Shit it’s just not working🤦🏼♂️ I know my lash is good for my valve clearance. So do you have any ideas?? I know the fuel’s good, I know the fuel in the bowl of the carb is good, I checked all my bases so good spark and everything so I don’t know🤷🏼♂️

My raptor is in the shop getting the carbs rebuilt and the whole bike gone threw to be 100% ride ready. Going to have to come out and beat all these 2 strokes hahaha

My banshee is under the deck gonna go flush the fuel and go play a little. I'm 52 with a hip replaced and kind a sticking to my SXS Arctic cat XX(Yamaha 998engine) but I still love the smaller two stroke machines that started it all!!!
