If there were more Jonathan Ward's on the planet, the world would be a better place! Attention to detail, innovation and creativity - simply put being a true "maker" is what we need more of! Love this channel!

I Love it that Jonathan never takes the praise, he always passes that praise on to the people who have earned it, the Mechanical Technicians and Electrical/Electronic Technicians, The Metalwork and Painters.... he has the design ideas and knowledge but it's the builders that put his thoughts into reality and he always credits them with the praise! Everything would remain in his mind if it wasn't for his gifted workers! 👍👍✊✊

Love your work, and you POV on everything you do. ICON vehicles and your success are an inspiration, and show us what you can accomplish with grit and determination, regardless of "degrees." We've screwed a whole generation into thinking they have to go get 100k in debt to be successful. Thank you

10 years on TH-cam and I’m still hanging on every word Jonathan. Thanks for sharing your art in motion. We wish you many more productive and inspired years. I pray the family and team are well.

Like how he thanked the folks that can’t afford his vehicle but acknowledge how cool they are. Maybe just maybe if all of us were to place orders the price would go down…😂 worth a try…😂 love his rides. 😎

Icon FJ40s and the Singer Porsche 911s are some of the most beautiful non-factory vehicles that have ever torn up the roadways. It’s crazy how Icon takes an old vehicle and throws in new tech and a new drivetrain, while Singer takes a new(er) 911, with a modern drivetrain and makes it look old by altering the bodywork and styling.

Miss the monthly content. This makes up for it. Always love to listen to you talk about your projects. You can hear the passion that you talk about come through. I love the uniqueness of everything you build. Honestly can't wait for that Mercedes video/build to be complete. Thank you as always for sharing your time.

Inspirational, you epitomize the description of when you do something that you love, you never work a day in your life. The attention to detail in all that you do has given me the inspiration to create grandiose plans for a restomod I'm tackling that is going to become my daily driver. Your Derelict vehicles truly are a work of art. Keep up the great work, there's little wonder that you are able to attract such talented and dedicated employees with you at the helm.

You have done what I’ve always dreamed of.
I’ve always loved the classic design of cars and trucks from the forties and fifties and you’ve taken those and given them brand new technology.
    Friggin awesome!
Now if I could just win the lottery so I can afford one!🤣👍🏻

I personally do not believe in celebrating inadequacy when you have the ability to do better the vehicles that I have seen you produce are marvelous you should never make excuses for making something so wonderful to appease someone who would probably never buy your products in the first place "you Just Stay classy San Diego"

I'm curious do you teach at all or maybe mentor interns or such?
Your story and thinking is pretty unique and that passion and drive should be passed on

Truly an inspiration. I'm a recent computer engineering grad with a lot of passion and interest with the craftsmanship part of engineering. Its my plan to take a similar approach to my grandpas 1980 f150 Custom. Its actually how I found Icon. Someday it would be a dream of mine to do something like this for a living

have you ever heard of an expression talent ? people are talking "you have a talent" ? you got nothing, you work hard to build the talent and that what you did J no university or school can teach you.

Love how he makes the original and makes it so it's 5 times what it was to what it really should've been. The man overlooks absolutely nothing . The only comebacks are to buy another art piece.

  • @jrharbar

I hear people compare ICON to others like Singer or Aplhaholics., but ReEnginiring simplicity is an art all on its own. I know I won't ever have the money to own an ICON (no pun intended). but it's one of those companies that it's not overdone if it works 100% better than the original, yet that modification doesn't stand out. it just works. . .Almost inspiring, it kind of makes you try to be a better person just by looking at it.

Love your works! Still like to see 1940-50’s cars w/ whitewalls? The low riders movement, modernized their internal motor works! Got criticized for this!

what's wrong with my displa...............never mind, it's just artistic license from Jonathan Ward. Now it's in color.
I've been revisiting some older FJ and Derelict builds... they make for good pass time, and how builds should be done. I truly love the builds in your shop.
Silver Hair and beard Jonathan? It's almost like I'm watching you grow old! I use a flat nickel rinse in my hair, and beard... just to keep it old school. 👍

This isn't a dig at all & I do believe you will get it & maybe even have a chuckle but maybe you could prototype up a step stool for the welder at 10:15 cause that's a whole lotta inconvenience to repeat day in & day out.
