      It is a very interesting vehicle. I'm sure it will do well once it's available. Thanks for watching!

    You can't tell from pics and video, but how big is this vehicle? Is it compact or mid size SUV size?
    I have a compact SUV and need something bigger but maybe the openness of the interior of this vehicle makes it functionally bigger compared to an SUV?

    • @thecellpower

      This is a very large vehicle. I imagine that it will be equivalent to a mid-size SUV once it makes it to production form.
      Because it is a van, I imagine that the layout will make it functionally bigger than an SUV. That, of course, depends on the architecture that Mitsubishi chooses.
      Thanks for watching.

    I’ve got a D5, I love it, I love this one even more. Those wheels are awesome, Plug-in hybrid is prefect, petrol extra range for long road trips and electric for city driving 👍

      Thanks for your reply. Hopefully it will come to market in some form in the near future. Perhaps 2026 is a possibility.
      Enjoy your D5!

    I love tis concept! I Would like a hybrid version, a separation / organizer for the boot, and extractable third row for cargo space.

      I think the things you’re looking for are very real possibilities. Hopefully we’ll see something in 2025 or 26. Thanks for watching!

    I have owned, and loved, Mitsubishi Monteros. They have been similar to my Land Cruisers and GX470's in style / capabilities, but with a V6 engine. For this Delica production version, the US outdoor community wants the mid/rear seating to come out, or fold flat. This is why people forgo the new Sienna. Also a moonroof, which opens for ventilation. Make this is an off-road (or at least AWD) PHEV, with decent looks, and you have my money! The US outdoors community has always wanted the Delica, just not as an ugly D:5. Thanks Mitsubishi!

      Thanks for your insights on these types of vehicles, and outlining some of the use cases people have for them. Hopefully Mitsubishi will bring it to production. I think there is a strong case. Thanks for watching!

    No point of watching a concept car nowadays if it cannot be produced even close to it. It's like having a dream and that's it. All Mitsubishi is telling us is that they can dream very good but cannot make beautiful cars when it comes down to production

    • @thecellpower

      Fair point. Most of the cars showcased at the Japan Mobility Show 2023 were concept cars. It remains to be seen whether any of them will make it to production form. Thank you for watching.

    • @antonroux6737

      hopefully they can
      this would work very well as a production design and could turn the brand around
      if the vehicle is too narrow it will fail - it needs to be 2.0m wide (NOT 1.8m)

    • @thecellpower

    • @thecellpower

      Good question. It was a common theme among Japanese OEMs at the show.

    • @WildernessExcursions

      Present day battery tech isn't good enough yet for a vehicle like this. Too heavy and not enough range. Especially when going off road for multiple days. Some sort of hybrid or range extender is still needed.

    • @thecellpower

      Yes, the Japanese automakers at the show all featured concept vehicles. I’m not sure that anything they showed stands a chance of making it into production. The D:X was very large. Not sure how this will translate in production form.
      Thanks for watching!
