Thanks for the setup video! Just picked this up and had my first playthrough. Rulebook is a bit rough so your video helped alot! Game plays much smoother now. It's alot of fun once you get the rules down packed.
Awesome job explaining the game. Just a couple corrections though: 1. A Joe must go on a mission. G.I's can't go on missions alone. (Pg. 8 in rulebook) 2. You only get to reserve 1 card per turn regardless of solo or 2 player. (Pg. 20 in rulebook)
Like mostI just received this deck building banger recently. I went straight from watching your video to playing the game without reading the instructions 👊👍🏻👌. Excited for future explanations and characters. Cheers, and thank you for the awesome content.
Thanks for the video! One small note on the Solo: instead of 2 cards in the Reserve, you get 2 full turns before the End of Round. This is noted by flipping the Round marker at the end of each turn. I'm honestly not sure if your variant of a 2 card reserve is harder or easier with only 1 turn per Round, but I remember from testing that is nerve-wrackingly tight!
If you are playing solo, you get two turns before the end of the round and you can "save" two cards each turn in Reserve. If you are playing 2 player, you only get to save one card per turn and you each get one turn before the end of round.
@@aaroncorley3108 I'm actually surprised it hasn't released. Renegade has grown over the last few years so it's really nice but also strange that I'll have to check with "marketing" to make sure one is coming. 😀
Cards sent by others on side missions - you said they are discarded, am guessing the person who sent them can not use them for the purchasing phase then? Ie with the Lady Jaye example
That's correct. You certainly help out the current mission, but suffer when it comes around to your turn, so choose wisely when it comes to joining a mission.
@ 39:14 Did you forget to re-roll one of your hits due to the complication? Holy moley! If that re-roll were a miss you would have failed this story beat. o.o With *NINE* dice? o.o
The "Comms" card cannot target yourself. Team mate is defined as any player other than yourself (p19) Overall, the rulebook is not the best written, but it is a fun game. The glossary needs to be expanded, and also the the part where you are assembling a team for a group missiom needs to be tidied up.
My copy just came today. Your video was very helpful, clear and concise. I can’t wait to play myself.

Great video explanation. At 38:50 though u forgot to reroll your hit because of the side card was attached to the mission

Just bought this today! Looking forward to giving it a playthrough

TC, I wish you or Renegade would make an official how-to-play video. You could fill in the gaps everyone else is just guessing about.

@@TheMeepleMarathon Page 20 of the rulebook says you can reserve only one card per turn in solo and 2-player games.

@ 31:01 Hey, that was a pretty *Clutch* move! :D
Okay, i'll knock it off. :3
Ps! Really looking forward to the play through
Is solo single-handed different from playing 2-handed “coop” solo? Ie are there solo specific rules when playing 1-handed “true” solo?
Yes, there are some slight differences in the rules for true solo but I preferred playing two handed.
Wonderful explanation...however u left out RESERVE...

i thought with a solo game you got to take *two* turns before the end of round. :3 Man, the rules document for this game is unnecessarily unclear! >.
